  • Best european players of all time

We've had a thread like this in the previous forum (actually for all international players, not just european ones) where everyone was entitled to vote for 12 best european players, in the end the results were put together... (I think it was sth. like 1st Dražen, 2nd Sabas, 3rd Kukoć, 4th Dirk...)

anyway I think it would be nice to have a thread like this again...

    i'll start:

    Saša Djordjević
    Dražen Petrović
    Toni Kukoć
    Dirk Nowitzki
    Arvydas Sabonis

    Šarunas Marčulionis
    Dino Radja
    Pau Gasol
    Vlade Divac
    Nikos Gallis
    Krešimir Čosić
    Šarunas Jasikevičius

      Nick the Gangster

I think Nick Gallis was the best among the best in Europe
Why? He was only 1.86 and he was jumping like Jordan, shooting like Larry Bird
and even passing like Magic Johnson
I cant remember any Player chased from 2 or 3 guys every time he had the ball in his hands and score every night 35 points with excellent percentage
Just Rember a few opponents in one on one or two or three situations

      Bob Mc Adoo 2.06
      Toni Cukoc 2.07
      Jarco Paspalj 2.06
      Audi Norris 2.06
      among others...
Ho ever stopped him in making the basket ? Dacouri? Marchulionis ? Petrovic? Sabonis? Radja? Divac? Meneghin? Tkatchenko?
Nick was playing every night with two or three big guys in his tail
and no defence or coach trick could stopped him
I cant imagine what may have done if he was 10-12 cm taller

I think the best starting line up would be

      Gallis ,Petrovic, Cukoc, Divac, Sabonis

      the second line up

Marculionis , Bodiroga, Stojakovic , Nowitski , Radja

                  Gallis, Petrovic and Nowitzki.

Bodiroga is one of my favourite players, a bit lower level than the above tho.

                    Arvydas Sabonis

He nearly became the first player to win a nba, euroleague and olympic championship. I know Ginobili did it first. Played past his prime in the nba and still dominated. Sad the blazers didn't use both Petrović and Sabonis during the late 80's and 90's. It would of been arguably the greatest team ever. Imagine how good the blazers would of been if they drafted Jordan and signed Sabonis and utilized Petrovic.
Alrighty then! Take care now, bye bye then.

Add Djordjevic at pg, Bodiroga at sf and you have the best 12 man roster in history.

How can you nominate nothing but Serbians, but ignore Vlade Divac who has perhaps been the most effective Serb to ever play in the NBA?

I do not mind how he played in NBA he played for himself. I still remember match against Argentina where he had 3 pts and missed both FT for victory.
