Well, I don´t know if Rikhardur was going to open an official thread about the league, but just in case.. And i´ll take the opportunity to ask a few questions to Srle, Serbianhoops and the rest

Next saturday the league begins, and it´s hard to find information about the teams. I mean any team that´s not Partizan, Red Star, Hemofarm or Radnicki. Is there any site with updated information on the rosters?

Also, I´ve lost track of some players and don´t know where they´re going to play next year: Luka Drca (OKK maybe?), Miljan Rakic, Luka Milojevic (will he continue in Napredak?), Nenad Stefanovic (Borac?), Marko Spica..

I´m also wondering if any of Partizan´s youngsters will be loaned to Borac. I´ve heard both teams signed a cooperation deal but I haven´t seen any results so far (and it would be good for Partizan too if players like Bogdanovic or Besovic started playing in the league..)

finally Luka Drca is playing for OKK. With him and the rest of additions (Kovac,Misanovic,Stefanovic, Sepa..) OKK has got IMO an Adriatic League level team. Their first game against Napredak was an easy one: 90-66

A good start for Borac too. Contrary to last year, they are very strong inside with the addition of Zigeranovic and Dramicanin. The young Todorovic gained some experience last year and will help them. Petar Rakovic didn´t get much playing time last season but looked very solid in his first game as starting point guard.

These two, along with Metalac, Mega or Vojvodina look like the best teams in the league.

Mega Vizura locks top prospect Vasilije Micic to long-term deal

Mega Vizura made a move for the future. The club signed one of the Serbian top prospects Vasilije Micic (192-PG-94, agency: Beo Basket) to a long-term deal. The 18-year-old point guard joined Mega Vizura in 2010 from FMP Zeleznik cadet team. Last summer Micic helped U18 Serbia to win the Silver at the U18 EuroBasket in Wroclaw. He shined with 10.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 4.3 apg and 2.1 spg for 9 games at this event and was named Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U18 Best Guard -11. At the same time he was also named to Eurobasket.com All-European Championships U18 1st Team -11. Micic played for the Serbian U16 National Team in 2009 and 2010. Last season with Mega Vizura Vasilije Micic had 8.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg and 2.8 apg for 35 games. He started this season in style with 15.9 ppg, 5 apg and 3.5 rpg for 8 games in Serbian league, but then got injured (knee, ACL) and will probably miss rest of the season. Mega Vizura is currently the second ranked team in the league with 12-4 record.

28-year old guard Bojan Bakic (197-G-83, agency: Alti Sport) put on an amazing game in the last round for Metalac and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had the game-high 41 points adding three rebounds and two assists for Metalac in his team's victory, helping them to beat Mega Vizura (#3, 12-5) 97-88. Metalac is placed at 10th position in Serbian league. Metalac is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-11 record. In the team's last game Bakic had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Metalac, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Bojan Bakic averages just after three games 28.3ppg and 4.7apg.

League table 3 rounds before the end, Partizan is definitely first, Crvena zvezda if win in all 3 matches can be second (playing both with Partizan and Radnicki), and for the last play off spot there are Vojvodina and Radnicki FMP. First 3 teams also will play in ABA league next season, its still not clear if Serbia will have 4 teams in ABA, since Maccabi probably wont play next season, and we will see who will fill this place.

It is a common name for a sports club in Serbia, it means workers club.

Situation is clear now when it comes to first 3 places, 1-Partizan, 2-Radnički and 3-Red Star, for the fourth place are still competing Vojvodina (6/7) and Radnički FMP (5/8). These two will play match in last round on wednesday, if Radnički FMP win they will be the fourth since they already won the first match against Vojvodina.

Play off semifinal, first and second team have the field advantage. Semifinals are best-of-3 series, while final is best-of-5:
