We have to take into consideration that the daily routine for the newer generations is very different nowadays. I was born in '78 and my generations' childhood had a lot more outdoor activity compared to those born 10 years later. Even more from those born 20 years later. My generation had less things to keep us indoors. No internet, no playstation (just a lousy atari 2600 ), no PC's with realistic graphics, no online porn , no 300 TV channels to choose from.

We (Europe) have so many rising stars so I don't see it as a really big problem. Those players didn't start to play unbelieveably well being kids. We have many stars, Europe's basketball is getting better - more and more countries play basketball, everyone knows how to do it, more and more European players get drafted (this year's draft showed it really well) so it can be just simply nostalgia you feel about other times...

I really miss times when I was a little kid and watched Macijauskas, Javtokas, Šiškauskas and others playing for Lietuvos Rytas, playing thrilled games against Žalgiris when Lietuvos Rytas always was told to be underdogs but time go by and everything changes. Probably ones who started watching basketball right now, will tell the same about for example EuroBasket of 2021 or something like this.

again totaly wrong context of my toughts

i'm trying to say that in some way one era just ended because players born "leatter" didn't efect basketball much as those "older" did. and they won't because they are already few years behing because dirk, pau, parker, hedo, peja had "imidate ipact", whille generaly quatity of quality of leatter generatin is for sure lover....that doesn't include this youngster you metnion like valanciunas, vesely etc....because they are just etering on stage and who the hell know how they will pan out.

and i din't start watching basketball in 2001., i started watch and folow basketball 1994.
        Jordi Bertomeu sucks!

The same thing. I guess You just think like that but everything is fine in reality. Things go on and that should be this way.

P.s. those 10 years was just an example.

i'm saying one "era" (because i can't find better word) in "some way" is ending....don't know why it's so hard to put in right context

I think my post will be in again in "wrong context".
,but have you considered extended player's longevity nowadays?
Players get to play for so much longer nowadays, those taking away vital years from younger players development at the highest level, like letting them make mistakes or even giving them enough playing time.Even mediocre players stay well over 30 at the top level, because they are so established and handsomely paid.Surely that put on hold many carriers. Some big names were just a shadow of their heyday, but still preferred to younger talent. And no one is willing to wait for success too.Now.NO matter what.
And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Zalgiris 17 times in a row.
