Maybe he has some justifiable reason. But if it's solely because he won't be with Ginebra anymore, then that's downright unprofessional. It's weird that he won't show up for practice considering that he might get more minutes with Blackwater.

Can other teams sign him? Or does his rights remain with Blackwater?

ABL perhaps? Does he need to be released by Blackwatet?

Ellis is still under contract with Blackwater. But they are considering giving him up if he continues to be a no-show.

They're being neglected because they already won a Grand Slam lol

Similar case as LA Revilla? They can hold him hostage if they wanted to right?

That's right. The MVP or SMC teams are more or less complete. So are Rain or Shine and Alaska. Ellis' best chance of getting playing time are with Phoenix, Globalport, Kia, or Blackwater. So why is he now making himself scarce for a team that could actually give him playing time?

Agree. If you can't get that, you can't be a professional athlete. But I don't think he's that famous enough. He's just one of those guys who dunks well and is just average at everything else. He hasn't established himself as part of Ginebra tradition in the same way as Tubid or Bal David. Scottie Thompson's more popular than him.

Mr. Sy calls for the revival of the protected list.
But the more interesting part of the article is his defense of the Tautuaa and Rosario trades. http://m.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news...gether-fbfirst

I thought he was going to end up being the next KG Canaleta, but Canaleta improved his game, and developed a 3 points shoot.

Anyone knows why stan was allowed to be drafted then traded to smc? He is, and he played, as a naturalized player. Like douthit and blatche, he should not have been allowed to play in the pba. What is with these pba drafting and trading rules that prevent from playing those naturalized filipinos who have the same rrights as natives?
