i don't know the answer to the first question. We know the answer to the second question. Choosing money over loyalty is not an entirely bad thing. (Unless you are Alaska, of course).

Tim has been around for too long so his experience should really be an advantage plus he is just lucky he is in a company where he is well provided. money wise and talent wise and referee wise he is such a whiner when he was with alaska. i acknowledge that he is one of the best when he got his first grand slam, but the second I believe is not worth celebrating as much as the first one. try giving the resources he that he has on other coaches, say franz pumaren or alex compton and you will see a big difference.

so there are people making money, in the barangay league level? Wow the Philippines really has commercialism even at the barangay level

Wait 'til you see what they earn in the Inter-Town level.

(Seriously, why are you surprised by this?)

No what intrigues me is , it potentially can be more lucrative for a player to play barangay league than a minimum pro contract. I mean I've never heard guys in the NY street ball circuit opting to play there instead of the NBA.

Barangay leagues = short-term contract, no salary cap. Easy money while waiting for an offer from a PBA team.
                          Keep running, big boy.

Yup. On a per game basis, some players actually stand to earn more compared to what they were earning in the PBA.

Just to give an idea, if I recall correctly, the salary floor for every player is P50k a month. One month would probably mean 7 games in today's PBA. That's around P7k a game.

Not to mention free accommodations, all expense paid trips to provinces plus women on the side...

Karim Abdul earns 10k per game... What more a willie miller....

Barangay leagues also has less public scrutiny, less practices and less pressure...
