Yeah he’s definitely not soft. Even when wearing the gilas uniform he would ask to fight people after games lol. Doug Kramer is his future brother in law too. And yeah he was a offered by Duke and Rhode Island as a Guard/Forward project. The only reason why he didn’t go was that those schools wanted Arvin to spend his own money first. Maybe because of NCAA rules?

Players that are in SMC that might be serviceable are Romeo, Fajardo, Ganuelas, Pessumal, Lee, Sangalang, Aguilar, Thompson. But most of them are replaceable really.

Yes thats true, after a splendid 3x3World Cup where he outplayed some future NBA draftee of teamnUSA, Arvin was offered a tryout by Duke , not outright scholarship...Due to lack of finances and logistics, he did not took chance on it....Had it been today, maybe Chooks to Go or SBP might have foot the bill..

How about the indirect SMC affliated teams (northport and columbian?)

We might be missing out on CJ Perez, Bolick and Cstan as well.

            • stupid question lang, what caused the fallout between Slaughter and BGSM?
-the only thing I can remember is Al Chua didn't offer him a contract and blamed Greg's camp for not informing management regarding the expiration..

              • Any news on how contract obligations went with players?

What happens to those players that are signed to 1 conference deals? Are they still getting paid? Or players that have contract expiry on certain dates

Well, I just hope that if its collegiate players practicing/training for the National team, IATF would make special consideration becoz the college players are doing this for the country's pride & honor.

Well, that's good. Collegiate players in the Gilas pool can start training for the National team/pool on a full-time basis anytime soon. Hope IATF gives special consideration for these college players to train/practice with the National team since these college players are doing these for the country's pride & honor.

kinda irritates me when the board/marcial always mention that the PBA is second only to the NBA as the world's oldest league.

                            1. Bring back the lottery draft w/ transparency.
                            2. The deadline for application for rookie draft should be before the lottery draft, so that no more dodging happens..
                            3. Top 3 worst team should be in the lottery ball, w/ the worst team should have the higher percentage of getting the top pick, but atleast the second and third worst team still have a chance to get the top pick.
                            4. Abolish the d-league stint qualifications for fil-foreigners.. it doesn't make sense why they need to play in low tier league..
                            5. And last, protect the top pick.. no trade rule for 1 year..
They want to blame the players for the things they've allowed. Everyone knew what SMC and the farm teams were doing yet they turned a blind eye to them. Now you've got a broken and imbalanced league with the championship going only to the stacked sister teams.

they feel they are on high horse.

even yeng mentioned that filipino players would always prefer to play in the pba but on the same note he said not to adjust the pba rules for those players who want to play overseas since they dont want the pba to be held hostage with players wanting to play overseas. kinda contradicting.

Exactly lol So does it mean if you dont get drafted you are dodging a team to draft you? Cant it be that you have other plans aside from joining the PBA? Parks had to skip the PBA Draft for five years because he trialed for the NBA 2 years, played in the G League, was looking to play internationally, committed to the Cadets Program and of course he wanted that ABL championship. I don’t think he skipped it just to be selected by Blackwater/TNT. Remember he wanted to play for Ginebra.

There are hundreds of basketball program blueprints that the PBA could follow. I really dont get why they couldn’t do that.
