They should allow multiple ownership of teams. Not many companies have the marketing budget to own and maintain a PBA team. MVP is doing this to get goodwill so Pinoys will gloss over that, his boss Salim, is violating constitution by having controlling ownership on companies in restricted industries. SMC is probably just a big company and can play with its marketing budget. Other companies have to scrounge for their PBA budget. Alaska, a pioneer, had to sell out when they were not profitable enough to justify their PBA budget to their new owners.Please use English language in your Post or Translate your post in English Thank you
yes, multiple owners is the way. Somebody posted before that a conglomerate composed of owners from North Harbour and Burger King submitted a proposal to buy a franchise before but was thumbed down.

Multiple owners is the way if we can get a franchise setup. Also need some way for the PBA to become profitable instead of becoming just an advertising expense.
If the PBA could scrap All-Filipino and import height limits, and allow imports to play full-time, I think they can close the gap.
They could make the All-Filipino conference a mid-season knock out style tournament. they could add 4 teams. 1 each from MPBL, VisMin, FilBasket and the Philippine based ABL team in the tournament to make it an ideal 16 team field. Heck, this could be done in 10 days. First weekend is the opening round, and on the last weekend, Saturday is the Final 4, and the championship on the Sunday.

I think Perez has earned their trust. They wont trade him even for Mikey. Also, Mikey might be Cabagnot on steroids but Perez is their best perimeter defender right now and essentially their best two way player.
the only thing that TNT can get from SMC group is like what they received from the Terrence Romeo trade, if they really want to offload him (Mikey) i think converge is their best option, independent team that i think can pay, one go to guy away to become a legit contender and has good assets that TNT can choose

So what does this mean? Meralco now has lost one of its suppliers ( SMC's subsidiary) , which means they have to scramble how to mitigate the lost 670MW supplied , which can lead to lost income, right? SMC said, the plant was a money pit. So now SMC is kinda saving money.

if MPIC/ Meralco will cut costs due to this development, unnecessary business expense, such as owning a sports franchise, would be cut. So we could expect a firesale of Meralco assets (pba ah), in the near future
if SMC is also cutting costs, then probably they cant offer large salaries to players that are being eyed by the Bleague,Japan or Taiwan.
