2013? TT was the #4 pick in this years draft. He turned down a chance to play for the team this summer in the Americas Championship, causing a little controversy. Corey Joseph is joining the team next week though.

2013 will be the World Qualifiers for the Americas. Most likely, Leo Rautins will be gone then and new faces (young ones) on the team.

From what I heard, Thompson was advised to skip the national team due to the lockout.

        Final day results:

        1st. place USA Midwest – Canada 99-94

USA Midwest took the title in a hard fought final over tough Canada team. The game showed up constantly tied or with a slight lead by Canadians, but US boys earned the win in the final minutes.
For the winners Archie Goodwin was the high scorer with 23, followed by Jernell Stokes (13), Marcus Paige (11), Tony Parker and Terry Rozier each with 10.
Canada’s top scorer was Mr Dunk Anthony Bennett with 20 (8/13), while Andrew Wiggins had 18pts, Sim Bhullar 16+12 and Tyler Ennis 13.
A great intense final game indeed.

        USA East outrebounded West 55-37.

        5th. place Brazil – Germany 73-62

With a strong Q3 (29-9) Brazil secured the game with Germany.

I heard that the voting for MVPs was done prior to the final game and that's why Jabari Parker got MVP instead of Goodwin.

I see, in fact he didn't have a great final game.

Here are the high scorers of the top 4 teams:

              USA Midwest - Archie Goodwin 17.3ppg, 54.8%FG, 2.3spg
              Canada - Andrew Wiggins 21.0ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.7apg
              USA East - Omar Calhoun 21.7ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.7apg, 1.3spg
              USA West - Aaron Gordon 21.3ppg, 64.1%FG, 6.7rpg, 3.0apg 2.0spg

Jernell Stokes and Tony Parker (USA Midwest) were the best rebounders with 11.3 and 11.0rpg, with Parker averaging a double double (11.3ppg).

LJ Rose and Dominic Artis (USA West) the best passer with 5.7 and 4.7 apg.

Archie Goodwin was highest in steals (2.3spg).

USA East Nerlens Noel was the best blocker with 2.0bspg.

Most outstanding overall stats: Aaron Gordon, followed by Canada's Anthony Bennett (16.0ppg, 62.5%FG, 7.7rpg, 2.7apg, 1.3spg).

Detailed stats of each player of the 4 finalist teams can be found in the attachment (sorry for the decimals separator in the table !).

Who advised him this and why? Enes Kanter, picked one spot ahead of TT is playing for Turkey this summer, as is Jo Val, picked one a spot after TT, playing for Lithuania. TT'sfellow countryman, Corey Joseph, the Spurs first round pick, is supposedly joining the national team. If those three unsigned rookies can play for their national team, so can TT. Bottom line: He should be playing in the Americas Championships for Canada.
