    Ask Simonas Serapinas: IBN Interview

Interbasket has gained access to Simonas Serapinas of Thessaloniki Aris and formerly of Žalgiris Kaunas. I have a couple questions set out for Simonas and would like to garner help from the members throughout the site, so if you have any questions you would like to ask Simonas Serapinas, please post them here.

All questions will be considered, the deadline for new questions will be in the next few days.

How do you find life in Greece?

Aris signed you as the starting SF, whereas in Zalgiris you were coming from the bench. Do you feel any pressure about that?

What is your favorite "duties" in a game: scoring, defencing, rebounds, etc?

    1. What was the key reason or factor for the move to Aris?
    2. Who has been the toughest player that you have matched up against?
    3. What is your ultimate basketball goal?
    4. Who was your favourite basketball player (Lithuanian and non Lithuanian) when you were growing up?
    5. What are the reasons why LKL is not at the same level as ACB or Italy's Lega A or even Greece's A1? Can LKL ever become the strongest domestic league in Europe in terms of competition and individual levels?

What was the feeling at the moment you found out you'd come to play against Zalgiris in Kaunas this season?

ok, so I'll ask him this question:

Will you have more outstanding performances this season apart from these 2 encounters against Žalgiris?

(the LTU players always have their performance of the year when they play against their former teams - after that their mission for the season is complete!.. )

-With what you have seen so far, what is the philosophy of the team?(control basket?fast game?physical game?inside game with Giannoulis and Wilkinson or shots from the guards?)

-What impressed you the most about the team?

-Former guard Pantious was terrible in his first 5 months, most of the time on the bench, after that period he was the best player by far!Do you think that you too, will need a period to adjust yourself to the Greek league and the team,or you think you ll be ready from the first games?

-What is the best part of your game?In Thessaloniki media present you as a great 3p shooter!..

-Do you think that Aris would be better than Zalgiris this year?Would it be dangerous like Mazzon said?

Would you like to have a close relation with the fans of Aris and to be their favourite player? Like Mario Boni was, if you know the case.

What changes did you experience from the professional point of view after coming to Aris from Žalgiris? (I.e., anything interesting about differences in training schedule, coahes' work style, provision of medical care, nutrition, etc. - anything, that Aris does differently and that was new to you.)
