Neat Trivia

Just a neat fact I fond looking at some spanish articles from the 1986 FIBA WC....the Philippines qualified by virtue of winning the ABC Championship in '85...but becuase of politics, they were unable to participate....so in comes Malaysia, the next team in line to go....last appearance in WC play....I'm looking at the roster and the Entrenador (Coach) is.................current Japanese Head Coach Tom Wisman...so Mr. Wisman has a little experience at the top, international level. Now I do not know if he was HC at the ABC Championship....unfortunately, the Malaysian team went winless and I beleive ranked last.

That's weird. I guess Wiseman has been in Asia/Oceania for a long time, though. Somebody said in another thread that he was the Australian coach of the year one year.
