Default Spain World Champion (18 consecutive victories)

Today I'm having my happiest basketball moment EVER, I've never enjoyed so much before.... I had more emotion, but never such marvellous time, we won the gold, but it was not only the gold, the semifinal was a bitter victory, we defeated Argentina, a great great team, but GASOL got injured.... and he was unable to play the final.... terrible, he has leaded us for the last few years, he is our leader, and the best spanish player ever. But our team jumped into the court extra motivated and simply gave Hellas a chance.

    CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS!!!!
    GASOLDEPENDENCE.... I love it

I don't watch European bball much, but it takes 1 friendly game to make me believe in Spain... (And I didn't watch the game where China lost by 49, but the 2nd game...)

El anuncio de La Sexta, todo el mundo con las barbas y tal.

*It's the song from this tv commercial in Spain featuring Pau Gasol.

    Conratulations to Spain.

After watching a couple of their games, I really thought their chances were slim without Pau and the great defense of the Greek backcourt would equal a Greece win... but they of course, proved me wrong.

    Again congratulations to Espana.

    WOW! CONGRATULATIONS SPAIN!

Very good tournament, they played great all along; since the beginning the seemed unbeatable, I did not want to admit it, because I wanted Argentina to win, but they deserved it. I am very happy for Gason specially and I have a feeling there is a lot of Spain coming in the next years!

It was impressive that they beat Greece like that without their leader, but in a way I think everybody was motivated to play for Gasol's sake also and give him back the title after he has given this team so much...

Exclamation "put Your Hands Down Fastly!!!"

These words is seemed to had been spoken to the greek players before playing the great final! In my point of view,i cannot find any other excuse about this tragic perfomance by the greeks.I couldnt ever believe that a so great victory against a great opponent like USA would make the things easier for an other team to win so easily the gyes who made the whole (not only basketball)world talk about their achievement!
Of course,"Espana" is a great team and won the gold fairly, but with no rival on the court cause Hellas was still in the 8th dream(101-95 over USA).
