The trials for the Under-16 Teams that will determine the initial 15 roster will be held in mid or late April 2011 as USA Basketball are still plotting a venue and the committee to handle the task as the planned event is still TBD (To Be Determined). Simultaneous also with the Under-16 roster for Women.

              To the Moderators:

With all respect and due courtesy, I would like to contest the recent relocation of this thread, named: USA Men's Developmental National Team (U16,U17) to the NBA Section due to the following reasons:

              1. The NBA is not directly nor remotely involved in the management and formation of the U-16 & U-17 Teams.

              2. USA Basketball's Senior National Team Managing Director Jerry Colangelo is not the representative of this division.

              3. USA Basketball's division, the Men's Developmental Committee is headed by Chairman Sean Ford who handles the said committee and is a unified representative for the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) and NFHS (National Federation of State High-Schools Association) on which appointees as representatives are Ron Crawford and Boo Williams for AAU and Eric Flannery for the NFHS.

Given the reasons above, I suggest with all humility that this thread should be in the Other Basketball Forums for the moderators' consideration and decision.

              Thank you for the consideration.

                            Aaron "Air" Gordon

Aaron Gordon averaged 17 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.2 blocked shots. But teammate Jabari Parker was equally impressive and took home MVP honors.

Overall, I would like to see Gordon, Parker, Jahlil Okafor plus additions like the Harrison twins, Julius Randle, Nerlens Noel and Kuran Iverson for the 2011 FIBA U17 World Championships in Lithuania.

Would add that Gordon shot 67,2% from the field in the last U16 Fiba qualifier (he was weak at ft however).
It seems that the classes 2013-2014 are plenty of talents again to build up a super U17 team in 2012.
Besides Okafor, 2014 class Theo Pinson and Tyus Jones were impressive as well.
