So, the new BBL is season is starting again and it's worse than earlier years, as Zalgiris and Rytas only participate in play-offs.

Surprisingly in the top Division there's 12 clubs (not including aforementioned ones), which means the level is way weaker, Siauliai and VEF are clear favorites at the beginning of the season. Barons Riga does not participate and bunch of weak clubs - Kalev/TTÜ, Liepajas Lauvas, Valmiera, Perlas, Dolphins are included, the player's names are almost the same as last few years, only without "stars".
Referees are probably local again, so there's gonna be lot of local preferencing.

Indeed they could, atleast for Challenge Cup, cause now it's almost another LKL with 7 lith teams, Latgale (LAT), Tarvas (EST) and newly initiated kazakh team "Barsy"

Perlas isn't weak club at all. You will see that. And Baltic countries don't have many good clubs, so here play the best all Baltic has.

Wow, what a pathetic effort by Rytas. There was no team-play and many players looked like they don't care. I hope it will change, but now it seems like Anzulovic isn't the right coach for this team.

Nice game by Rytas. Nalga is much much much better than Bains. Wonderful frontcourt. Top 8 of Euroleague is too low for the team, final 4 would be the right ambition.

man im so dissapointed, players shape is so poor and didnt saw any effort from Zula... dunno what that guy is thinking but if the team will play such a terrible bbal he'll go out by mid november

I am glad that Rock won, but as their head coach said, it's still basically only a training game. Rytas looked really bored or washed out and as much as I want to believe, that it was fantastic Rock effort, it really wasnt much about that.
Few years ago Rock beat Rytas more convincingly in BBL October game, but there were still Zalgiris and Rytas in the finals.
Anyways great emotional moment and seems Estonian wins over Lithuanian superclubs are not so rare any more.
