Johan Petro goes to a new team:
Nets reach agreement with backup C Johan Petro - By TOM CANAVAN, AP Sports, June 10, 2010

The New Jersey Nets have reached a contract agreement with center Johan Petro.

The Nets did not announce the terms of the deal Saturday, but an NBA official with knowledge of the agreement tells The Associated Press the contract is for $10 million over three years. The official requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak for the team.

Petro will be a backup for Brook Lopez. Petro averaged 5.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in five seasons with Seattle-Oklahoma City and Denver.

The agreement is contingent on Petro passing a physical....

In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

I read that Mahinmi has been a beast in practice. In the NBA season last year, he averaged 4 points and 2 rebounds in 10 minutes. His per 36 minutes in the NBDL in 2007-2008 are off the charts: 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2.4 blocks...that said, I haven't really been that impressed with him. He seems pretty thin and without a whole lot of skill.

I believe that Rodrigue Beaubois should be given the starting point guard job this season as they (Dallas Mavericks) have nothing to lose by entrusting the responsibility as well as develop him to his fullest and Beaubois is undoubtedly a talented guard. It is also great to have Kidd as a mentor.

Alexis Ajinca averaged 8.3 ppg and 4.0 rpg for the Charlotte Bobcats on the NBA Summer League Las Vegas but was sent to the Dallas Mavericks with Tyson Chandler. Ajinca now has the chance to join compatriot Rodrigue Beaubois.

Power forward Kevin Seraphin will be with the Washington Wizards next season. He's just 20 years old, it's too damn early... He should know.

Ronny Turiaf would fit in well with the New York Knicks' uptempo play just like Golden State's tempo. Turiaf is expected to bring hustle, defense and rebounding alongside Amare Stoudemire, Timofey Mozgov and Eddy Curry.

Another Frenchman will join NBA ranks: Pape Sy to the Hawks. How do you think he'll fare?

It's been a surprise honnestly. He never played that much with Le Havre.

Looks like a cheap defensive roleplayer solution at pg (or even sg). No clue if it has to do with crawford's extension (line up wise).
Atlanta will have to negotiate with horford and most likely bring a new decent pg, they might be looking for cheap rotations around.
