What a tragical end. Basile -one of the best shooters Europe ever had- missed all ft's when he had the chance to tie the game!!!

              Congratulations to Lithuania.

p.s.=for BadMann: with Bargnani under our basket it would have been another story...
And with Jasikevicius, Siskauskas and Kaukenas Lithuania would be the team to beat after the USA.

But Italy played a good WC and their is talend in your NT. With Belinelli playing good, Mancinelli also had some good games, but Recelcati must play him more. Rocca is a beast under the rim but have to learn to shoot FW´s. Mordente and di Bella are decent PG´s and especially Mordente is a good Teamplayer which brings always energie. And then you have also 3 very good youngsters in Bargnani, DaTome and Gallinari.

And the Groups C and D were very strong, if we compare them to A and B. Now we will see French/Angola and Germany/Nigeria in the Quarterfinal of this WC, but Italy for example play a better Basketball then all of these teams.

What a pity. After this finish I think you an say the luckier team won in the end. Basile was the tragic guy, but heads up Gianluca, you're one of the best shooter in Europe ever and won so many games for Italy.
Congrats to Lithuania. What did NBA do to Macijauskas' ballhandling? God.....

Macas makes more mistakes because without Jasikevicius Siskauskas and Ginevicius he has to do much more ballhandling

And NBA tought macas how to make alley-oop passes

He was,no more,he well past his prime,he is over.
Italy has a good future and must find the courage to cut Basile and Marconato from the national team.
Lithuania deserved to win, they are not a great team but they are solid in the paint and Macjiauskas is always one of the best international shooters.

without him we wouldn't be there where we are, if you have seen games of Lithuania you know what macijauskas means to our team, never mind these 5 turnovers, it's jus statistics
