    Default Japanese Anime and Manga

hey guys, I know this thread is a bit childish to some people.

People who watch anime are stereotyped as people who are childish, have their own worlds and are stupid.

i hope this isn't the case here. I'm going to be in my last teen year soon and I still enjoy watching this stuff.
I know a lot of pipz here (esp Pinoys) used to watch Anime series and probably still do.

to start here are my all-time favorites :

Slam Dunk - sports, drama. I know it's popular to all our forumers here.

Hungry Heart Wild Striker - sports, drama. loved this football series. really funny and full of suspense.

    School Days
-ecchi(pervy), love, romance, school life, drama - this is my favorite anime drama series. The story is really great. If you're a chickboy, you would think twice after watching this. After I finished the series and watched the ending, I couldn't sleep for days! it's a must watch(i really recommend it!)

Detective Conan - is it familiar to you guys? One of the best i've watched.

I used to watch these series. Right now i'm only following two anime series.

Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - you've got to admire the story.

    Suzuka
-sports, drama, romance, school life, comedy. great story great twists.

    PS :

I love anime dramas but i hate telenovelas. LOL.

    please post, discuss and enjoy.

BTW, have you guys read the Slam Dunk Manga up until the end?

Still actively follow One Piece. Got into it when I was younger, and the quality never dropped to the point where I didn't want to read anymore.

I have my own web site about anime and manga

Well, I don't want mention again what you said, so I recommend "Real" manga. It's drama about wheel-chair basketball. Very good.

    GantZ - just fantastic...

Berserk - I guess best manga about dark-times.

Not really a manga person myself, but still watch anime (not as much as I used to though). As far your list goes, I've seen some Detective Conan and watched Full Metal Alchemist, but not the others. Always wanted to check out Slam Dunk.

I don't really watch it but my friends report some good anime stuff, not for children. Like serious movies and stuff.

Of course people who watch anime porn and jerking off are sick.

Im not a manga guy, but definetly an anime person still I havent watched a lot so I can name them:

    1)Pokemon - greatness
2)Digimon - never watched a full season, cause it was Pokemon's rival
3)Dragon Ball series - double greatness
4)Yugioh- only up until the end of the Malik saga.
    5)Yuyu Hakusho - Kuwabara's the shizz
6)Big O - Mainly because of that robot maid, never a fan of big robots
7)Detective Conan - this was a hard one, only aired in adult swim at 5:30am
8)One piece - all time favorite
9)Zatch Bell - fags canceled it
    10)Naruto - triple greatness
11)Bleach - glad I stayed with this one. First 20-25 episodes where boring.
    12)Bobobo-bobo-bo - epic

Always wanted to watch Full Metal Alchemist but cant find the time to do it, and also that red haired guy thats supposedly a demon fox I think.

eindhow, have you read Slam Dunk's manga in which Shohoku competed in the inter-high. Sakuragi was already a jumpshooter(though his 1st shot was caught by that monkey guy who plays for Kainan) and Mitsui was shooting like crazy. Rukawa had a black eye(good for him).? The best i've read. Kogure's 3 point shot pissed me off at that time.

    Default Used to watch

    Slam Dunk

They should really do a continuation for the Inter-high or better yet a remake.

    Eye-shield 21

Finished watching Season 1 and Season 2. The manga was better.

Yeah! They should have continued up until interhigh. Heard some good things about eyeshield though.

I agree, SLAM DUNK should have not been cut-short and should have been continued to the Inter-high.

Eyeshield has a decent following. I love the themes for the Football teams where the said themes reflect their playing style and strategies. I was colorful.

When I was in high school, they first started printing the Akira comics here and I thought it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen. The movie was great, too. But recently, I tried to reread it and I just didn't like it as much. I couldn't recapture the excitement that I felt when I read it for the first time.

In recent years, a couple of anime movies have been shown in big theaters in the US. One was about a little girl who went to a world of demons or something. It was pretty good. I don't really remember the other one that I watched, but I remember that when this giant tree monster stepped on the ground, beautiful flowers blossomed and quickly died. It was really neat.

Spirited away and Princess Mononoke respectively I believe, two of my favorites. Both done by Hayao Miyazaki he's done a lot of great work

i followed Bleach from 1-274 but those dumbfuckers from crunchyroll.com paid someone to have a license to stream the series exclusively. fansubs were my only way to enjoy Anime. i also watched Code Geass (both seasons) and Hajime no Ippo thanks to hard-working fansubbers who upload for free. i am not paying $6 USD for shit subbing.

the only thing great that came out of TV was Slam Dunk. every other nice modern Anime felt weird to be audio-dubbed (Samurai X, YuYu Hakusho).
