I really like Kanter. Tough player with a lot hustle

Mirotic has also been playing well (lucky Spain).

USA – Hoops Summit showcases possible future World Championship stars

Watch basketball’s future stars come face to face in today’s rerun of the Nike Hoops Summit on fibatv.com at 20:00 CET.

PORTLAND (Nike Hoops Summit) – Sunday’s Nike Hoops Summit saw the top upcoming US players come up against the some of the best young talent of the rest of the world.

Although the game ended 101-97 in favour of the Americans, one would be foolish to dismiss players of either side becoming future stars of the game.

If the past is anything to go by, some of the class of 2010 are more than likely to make it to the top. Past players include Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Garnett to name but a few.

This year, Turkey’s Enes Kanter stole the show scoring a Summit record of 34 points, earning the game MVP crown, bringing a call up for his national team this summer into the realm of the possible.

While players such as Harrison Barnes (USA; 27 points) Jared Sullinger (USA; 22 points) and Tristan Thompson (World/Canada; 14) also stood out, they might have to be a little more patient than Kanter, who on this form will be increasingly hard to overlook.

Watch a free replay of the game on fibatv.com tonight at 20:00 CET.
