But there will be 4 European teams (probably 4 of France, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey), also probably Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and New Zealand = zero chances for any African or Asian teams to finish in top 3 at that tournament.

Too bad Sudan and DR Congo were not able to take part in this tournament. These countries could have been competitive if only they were able to keep the citizenship of some of their prized players.

Anyway, his last experiences have always been a mess. Maybe this time, he is not the only one to blame, since i think many people in Angolan coaches, etc... may not have been too happy to see a foreign coach, while it is quite a nice place to have in African basketball to coach Angola, but his apparently very authoritarian personnality may not have helped.

It was the same last time he coached France, although he had a very tough situation, the players really could not stand him and his decisions.

I think Edwin Mbanda is actually from Rwanda.

It didn't matter in the opening round:
