Urspring School making their annual trip to the tournament in Tennessee and they advance to the quarterfinals with a 54-39 win over Henry Carr from Toronto, who featured 7-3 center Tanveer Bhullar:

Urspring beat the defending champions in the semifinal behind 29 points from Malik Muller. They play for the championship Monday night.

Happy to see another kid from the Rhein-Main area making strides in the U.S.

    Malik is from Offenbach.
Others from the same area include Jarelle Reischel (Frankfurt & Rhode Island), Jon Mesghna (Frankfurt & Maine), Roland Nyama (Frankfurt & Stony Brook), Patrick Heckmann (Mainz & Boston College), Dominique Uhl (Frankfurt & Pt. Beach HS).

Urspring won the tournament. Muller was named MVP and Kenneth Ogbe joined a select group of 18 players (WTF?) on the all-tournament team.

Attended one game and watched a couple of games of Christian Standhardinger this season.
Compared to his days at Urspringschule, he is more of a power forward opposed to being more of a speedy and tall guard type. Not overly athletic and sometimes a bit rusty in his movement, he surprises opponents with a great assist or a dunk attempt. Pulls a lot of rebounds too and demands the ball everytime on the high post. Wonder what chance he has to make it to the NBA these days.

Moritz Wagner has received an offer from Michigan alongside UNLV, Providence, Auburn, Virginia and Arizona. No front-runners yet.

I personally know two young and talented german-born combo forwards in US, the older one 6'11" S.P. (born in '96 in Muldorf, Bayern) just ended his freshman season in a Junior College in Missouri, while the second one, 6'10" R.K. ('97) is in his senior year in a Prep School in Indiana and has recently received NCAA D1 interests. Non of them has citizenship of Germany though.

Are you an up-and-coming scientist with original ideas and a strong focus on sustainable development? Does your research have the potential. Take part in the Green Talents Competition, promote your research in Germany and gain exclusive. He was once touted as one of the emerging midfield talents in Germany. Still banned from official games due to his contract with a semi pro team in Germany in the 08/09 season. Had two impressive performances. Four shirtless gymnasts from Germany and the Czech Republic put on a spectacular.

St. John bound Richard Freudenberg, made the all BWB team and had made a good impression for scouts.
