You also had atleast few players of Lithuanian descent with Lithuanian surnames, f.e. FIBA Hall of Fame member Waldemar (Voldemaras in LT) Blatskauskas. Not sure where all of them were born, but I guess already in Brazil. After WWI and WWII lot of Lithuanians emigrated to South America

I'm sure you can find some naturalized Lebanese players who played for one of the Brazilian NT's back in the days

no you are mistaken, he was not offer the oportunity to play for teh RD, to be honest I am 100 % sure that the Dominican Federation does not know of the existce of this guy. He just said on a Puerto Rican news paper that if he is not included in teh Puerto Rican team he would like to play for the Dominican team becuase his dad is Dominican, but as far as I can tell, teh Dominican Federation has made no contact with this guy, they already started th national team Minicamp about 2 days ago, he would have been invited if what you said is true. and at 30 years old and averegin 4 points per game on the Puerto Rican League his chances of making the team would still be zero.

to be honest with you I had to google his name b/c I didn't know who he was, and I can assure you that neither does the Dominican federation or any Dominican media, because if that was not the case then that story on the Boricua newspaper about him wanting to play for the Dominican Team would have been all over the media over here but it isn't.

so don't worry about him, he is safe fo you to keep.

                              NBA players from Canada:
                              Nash
                              Dalembert
                              Rautins
                              Anthony
                              Magloire
                              Corey Joseph
                              Tristan Thompson

Bottom line: If all of these players had chosen to play for Canada, in addition to Sacre, Kris Joseph, Nicholson, etc. Canada would've been a lock for top two in the America's.
