    Me too.

I guess a day and a half drive by car or bus is too much for southern Brazilians. Hopefully, you guys will bring those tourists and residents that you were talking about.
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

US win today probably means no real US team next year.

With no USA (first pre olympic Tournament they've been absent since 1995), Argentina is the likely favorite, with their home court advantage, Brazil would be the favorite to snag the guaranteed second Olympic spot.

There should be a mini tournament between Mexico, Jamaica, Colombia and Paraguay or Chile.

Of course... thats what they should do...

                      Mexico, Jamaica, Paraguay and Colombia...

Round Robin between them and top 2 (If both Cuba and USA decide not to go) or 1st place (If just one of them No Go) advance to FIBA Americas...

Obviously if both of them GO... then we are wasting our time here.. lol

Biggest surprises so far: Larry Taylor in and Olivinha out.

Good list. Nice to see some new and talented faces like Vitor Benite(1,90 PG), Augusto Lima(2,07 PF), Douglas Nunes(2,08 PF) and Rafael Hettsheimeir(2,08 C). Larry Taylor gives us more depth in the rotation.

Some other names out of the list: Olivinha,JP Baptista, Murilo Becker, Rafael Araújo, Jonathan Tavernari...

If all the player are available it will look like:

                          PG - M.Huertas - Larry Taylor
SG - Leandrinho Barbosa - Marcelo Machado - Alex Garcia
SF - Giovanonni - Marquinhos Vinicius
                          PF - Varejao - Splitter -
                          C - Nene - Paulão Prestes

And one more player to complete the 12 men list...probably a PF-C (Hettsheimer, Caio Torres, Augusto Lima, Douglas Nunes) or maybe a third point guard(nezinho, benite..)

I liked Magnano's choices a lot. He sure knows what he is doing. But so far this is just a list. Unfortunally I think we won't see all of the players in the tournament.

                              My guess to final list:

                              Huertas - Nezinho - Raulzinho
                              Marcelinho - Vitor Benite
                              Alex - Marquinhos
Guilherme Giovannoni - Rafael Hett - Augusto Lima
                              Splitter - Paulão

I considered difficult to Larry become a brazilian citizen on time and unlikely the participation of Varejão, Nenê and Leandrinho.

But still, a nice NT IMHO.
