    Default 2009 African Champions Cup


    Men champions cup drawing- Kigali 2009

    Africa champions cup for men drawing will be held this friday december 4th 2009 at FIBA headquarter in Abidjan , Côte d'Ivoire at 6:00 PM. This champions cup will take at Kigali, Rwanda it will regroup 10 teams from different Zone.

    The qualified teams are :

    APR (RWANDA)

    AS MAZEMBE (R D CONGO)

    INTER CLUB (CONGO BRAZZAVILLE)

    COOP- BANK (KENYA)

    K. P .A (KENYA)

    WARRIORS (OUGANDA)

    PRIMEIRO DE AGOSTO (ANGOLA)

    PETRO ATLETICO (ANGOLA)

    plus two teams from the zone III qualifiers going on at Ouidah, Benin.

    In additonal to that there will be documents presentation from the three country candidate to host Afrobasket 2011. These three country are Côte d'Ivoire, Madagascar and Nigeria.

    Don't know anything about African club basketball, but I think team from Angola will win

    That´s year only 10 teams, not 12... with the withdrawal of best outsider Etoile du Sahel from Tunisia.

    1º de Agosto is clear favourite.

    It sux not having any Arab African teams playing especially from Tunisia+Egypt whom have some very descent teams in their leagues.

    No, I'm not...in Angola my team is Sporting of Luanda and this year I will also suport Libolo wich I belive will win the Angola championship.
    Regarding the African Cup, I sincerely think that Petro has a better roster than 1ºAgosto and they have everything to win.

    Really? They underachieved last year, don't know if they changed the roster that much this season, but the chronic contenders will be in the finals imo.
