      Ayuso and English
Luis Flores had way better numbers
      More points per game
      more Rebounds per game
leader in steal per game of the whole tournament (and in total too)
      more assists
I mean c'mon LOOK AT THE NUMBERS, Flores was leader in points, steals and assists among shooting guards in the tourney

sereously did y'all bother looking at the stats

and Varegao and Splitter were Good is some games and great i some other but never Great all the way, if you know what I mean, and the same goes to Peter John Ramos and Danny Santiago.

Basketball isn't only about stats. Ayuso and English helped their teams to qualify to the WC. Luis Flores sure had great stats, but thats it. Domincan Republic is out of the WC, and now it's waiting for the possibility to get a WildCard!!. And they entered the tournament as one of the favorites. Everyteam played without some important players, thats not an excuse.

Varejao and Splitter are the frountcourt of the Americas champion, I thing that speaks for itself. They helped brazil a lot with their defense. Jammie Lloreda, PJ Ramos, Romero, sure played well, but I rather those two.

Ayuso and English are too much better than Luis Flores in Fiba, you know what is team play?, Luis Flores isnt even close to those guys men, he is a ballhog, look how aYUSO A eNGLISH helped his teams to qualified, Luis Flores alone in that position is obviously he will do a lot of things, but numbers is not everything in the game, Ayuso have a lot of history and other things that Luis Flores dont have and will never have, dont patriotic, is the only truth, bah Luis Flores haha, pufff....Luis Flores will never be better than others SG of Puerto Rico, but that isnt topic, Luis Flores dont have nothing to do in international playing versus Alex Garcia, Carl English, Larry Ayuso, Barbosa, Leandro Garcia....

My Bad, actually Luis Flores was second in points among shooting guard, Barbosa was First.

But still Flores numbers are way better than any other shooting guard in the tournament not name Leandrinhio Barbosa, thus he should be Barbosa subtitute, coz this is the all start team, not the "I-helped-my-team-to-win-games" team, all star teams are based on individual performances, which means numbers, not in collective accomplishment.

didnt Flores played as a PG?
he was 4th in turnovers in the whole tournament with 3.8 to per game, and against the other top 5 teams (BRA, PUR, ARG, CAN and URU) he had 4.4 turnovers per game, a incredibly high amount for a player that is the 4th option on offense. Plus he lost 4 of those 5 games.

all star teams are based on individual performances, which means numbers, not in collective accomplishment.
can someone explain me then why Al Jefferson has never played in an All Star game?

the NBA ALL Star Game, is a popularity contest
Now the All-NBA First Team is based on Individual performance and stats

to be fair, he lost 3.

                      Sacramento lost the other one.

DR was still the favorite IMO. Talent was on the dominican side.
Besides, the factor in DR losing and DR winning a game was Luis Flores.
He shot over 50% in the wins
                        He shot 39% when losing

Nene and Splitter would fight for a spot on the center position as well.
