I thought it would be good to merge them, predictions bleed into the real game thread is a natural progression and convenient to refer to.

    Puerto Rico just falls short!

Blame missed free throws for this loss, congrats to Brazil. 61-60

If he had hit that one, I´d blame the refs, of course.

    BUT WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!

Puerto Rico had the tie...Vassallo missed the FT.

Arroyo was so CLUELESS in the last play.

Arroyo isn't a 3pt specialist....though he was hot in the tournament....this man is good at penatration.

It was a 1 POINT GAME.

all we needed was 1 POINT or more.

All Arroyo had to do was drive to the basket and absorb contact from the skinny Brasilians....damn Carlos.

A fade away three with a defender in your face?

Arroyo penetration could of lead to 5 things.

    A lay up
A trip to the FT line
An open man in the paint to pass to
An open 3pt shooter to pass to
    a miss

An Arroyo wild 3pt shot could lead to 2 things
an incredible stupid made 3pt shot.
an incredible retarded missed shot for the loss.

Agreed! The last play was goofy. Even because the refs would call everything there...

It´s strange. At first, I´d love the idea of see Splitter playing in NBA. Now, I wish he simply stay in Europe.

I mean...Tiago is always in our NT. I hate the idea of Spurs management making pressure to he dont attend some tournaments...

I agree. I wonder how many players prefer Europe instead of the NBA because of this.
