Hm, is Lee Hsueh Lin a better selection than Sam Daghles or Rony Fahed? I never like all tournament teams shackled by positions - shutting the door on much more deserving frontcourt players like Yi, Zaid Abbas, Vroman, etc.

I think they overlook pointguard Mehdi Kamrani of Iran, the assist leader in this year FIBA Asia...although that makes 3 iranians at the roster of Asiabasket all around team...

Nothing we can do about the first team, but I would make the second team:

    C: Jackson Vroman
    F: Yi Jianlian
    F: Zaid Abbas
    G: Sam Daghles
G: Rony Fahed or Mahdi Kamrani

This 2nd team will kick the 1st team's ass
I would opt for Kamrani though

I think this was a true silly choice for a PG position! We have seen much better players and much better performance! this guy is in his 5th participation and he's still with such low Average!

Hi Buran, you are correct, I checked with Kings and he double-checked his sources - this was an unofficial selection

Now that we've determined that it was an unofficial selection, who would be on your Asiabasket team?

    First Team:
    C: Hamed Haddadi
    F: Jackson Vroman
    F: Yi Jianlian
    G: Samad Nikkhah Bahrami
    G: Rasheim Wright

    Second Team:
    C: Wang Zhizhi
    F: Zaid Abbas
    F: Matt Freije
    G: Sam Daghles
    G: Mahdi Kamrani

    Third Team:
    C: Ha Seung-Jin (KOR)
    F: Fadi El-Khatib
    F: Anton Ponomarev (KAZ)
    G: Lee Hsueh Lin (TPE)
    G: Saad Abdulrahman Ali (QAT)

Was forced to put Seung-Jin on the third team because I needed a center... and I struggled to represent 5th place Taiwan, as the first two teams were dominated by the top-four teams - Iran, China, Jordan, and Lebanon. Rony Fahed didn't make the cut in this scenario.
