china had the same problem with iran that rp, taipei, and korea have.

they are too soft for the tough and strong cagers from iran.

they always have in them.the difference now is that their big men also learned to shoot better and are more agile than before.

china has a phalanx of big men but without top center yao or classic enforcers like liu and bateer, there are no match with the power players of iran.it would have been different if they shot the lights out of tianjin but they started on the wrong foot.

congrats to iran...toroman was very right, a quarterfinal stint for rp and a championship for iran.

they sent their china team B so that their team A can prepare for the olympics since they're the host, whatever place they get in the fiba asia championship, they are automatically qualified to play in the olympics

    China converted just one 3.
Where are the legendary shooter of yore
did the tradition of shooting 3 dies already.

the pg seems to be just learning how to dribble.
how can china win with pg like this.
can you expect them to make play with dribbling handicap.

The powerbalance has once again shifted. This time it has tilted to the west.

    what can i say
Iran deserves it more than any team.
Just great offense and defense. I'm cheering for china but I've said before i really like the way iran plays basketball.

As for china I thought you have good pg as some forumers here said? and Jianlian kept on shooting from long range, what was that.

Anyway, congrats IRAN, CHINA and JORDAN! GOOD LUCK!
    GO TEAM PILIPINAS!!! LABAN!!!

I get his name now .
    Hu Wei Dong
China will be strong again if
    they have another Hu
    to my mind
they have to improve their perimeter play to
open up the big men inside.

There was too much one-on-one plays in the championship game against Iran. Worse Iran's solid defense rattled their three point shooters and point guards. Iran's defense killed their offense as simple as that.
IRAN - THE BEST BASKETBALL NATION IN ASIA

    Congratulations Jia You Iran

Yes, china's 3 pts shooting just failed to materialize at their final game against iran contributed to great wall's downfall..Of course team iran's excellent passing plays and players' moving without the ball made the difference that jolted china right on their homecourt territory..
