Nah, Japeth can be much better than Rich. I was never impressed with Rich even when he was still playing in college. I've always thought that he'll just be a squad player in the PBA. Whereas Japeth's 6'9, fast and very athletic, you can't teach that. He just needs to learn some post up moves, and bulk up. The kid's got potential. I guess a lot of us where just expecting too much from him in this tournament.



Haven't seen much of Rico Maierhoffer so I can't comment on that.

History would show he failed to develop or even maximize the talents of Fiehl, Balingit, Bolado, Realubit, Rico Villanueva, Eric Reyes, etc to name a few. That aspect is not Guiao's strength. I do believe Balingit could have been a dominant player if only he was further developed. Same with Villanueva.

For me Japeth should have been more patient and developed his game first.

yeah i respect the players, they deserve it! even the feeling "ray allen" arwind santos deserves iti even respect the coaching staff especialy yeng, until he said all that bullshit against the smart gilas teamcalling sir nardy, is smart gilas ready to play this season in the PBA?

I rather watch anthony bordain and andrew zimmern shows if Smart Gilas will not be included to the next PBA season and use FIBA rules. PBA rules are messed-up!

yeah, really sad...now im thinking, what if chot reyes is given the second chance to handle this team, may have been a diffirent story i think

i believe so.. i've realized that we have this wrong way of doing things like changing our coach, line up etc.etc. everytime we go international.. ano tayo NBA....
