More importantly, we only had 5 assists.

    • Reminding you all, we will not always be having a good shooting night.
So don't raise your hope too high. If anything else, this just goes to
show our team will have difficulty scrapping a win from now on.

wow, look at the minutes of our players (except for japeth, kerby, and arwind) it shows that we have a good balance in our team. and by the later stages, our players wont be exhausted and fatigued. we seem to improve game by game and not relying on 1 player too much. besides willie "wowowee" miller, the most time someone was on the floor was 21 minutes, thats half a ball game.
-The way RP basketball can get back to the Olympic and FIBA world stage... correct positions and small ball!
-teach all the youth that are 6'8 and shorter the ability to dribble, pass, and shoot 3's

Reminding you all, we also have a very good defense when we want it. So keep your heads way up high. If anything else, this just goes to show that our team can battle the best of them and has chance for that scrappy upset.

              Good game Pinas.
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am NOT going.

We are armchair coaches and scouts here and all but am pretty sure Yeng knows what he is doing compared to all of us, combined.

By the way, congrats Iran you played your game and you are indeed the defending champions; simply high quality players in your 8-9 man rotation.

Let's take care of business tomorrow and we are still on pace: look for the upset in the quarters.

Let's pray that our benchwarmers would come and play tomorrow versus Kuwait as I do not want our key players to log a lot of minutes against the Kuwaitis as they need to get ample rest and avoid injuries so that they would be very much ready on the very important Quarterfinal game that we would have with either Jordan or Lebanon. But we should not be too complacent tomorrow as we still need to keep on with the intensity.

                        • I think they are a bit tired on the defensive end. two huge games takes it toll on RP. Time to relax tomorrow and prepare, scout the opponents.

Arwind is just too weak in terms of upper body, he gets bounced around when screens are set. He got beat too many times in this game when he was inserted. Arwind needs to work on his upper body and stop being content on being a skinny guy.

Japeth actually did well as a help defense but his lack of practice with the team since his injury is now a suspect, he is getting lost in the rotation and does not know what he needs to do. Hope Japeth can get it together, we need him more so we can stop playing Kerby too much.
                            very true agree with all
japeth is athletic but that's it
he cant defend straight up, he can help defend but he didnt even block # 14 shot, he cant post down, he cant shoot the 3, so what can he contribute

kerby should be the pf that makes 3 but he cant shoot and he cant defend the bigger guys so he should be benched, he does not fit the system right now

arwin is just too small, he is athletic but for his position is small, he cant even shoot the 3s and fight the screens without being shoved
I believe. Lets go Team Pilipinas

The reason we kept it close is bec we let them have the 2 and we made the 3.

                              We just fouled a lot and turned the ball over at the bad time ^^;;
With our good 3pt shooting we could have match them mano-a-mano and took away Haddadi's inside game.
