  • Philippines at 2019 Fiba World Cup

We have a deep pool here imo..if Fiba will allow our fil foreigners to play without restrictions we might see guys as young as qmb playing for spots. The core team have gone deeper with the inclusion of lassiter(our top sg) and barroca as potential top backup pg.
At least now no more 2013 where we need to reward all the 12 guys who played (cough gary david)

    Dream 12

    Castro - Andy Merk
    Lassiter-Parks-tossup between(Dalistan pogoy romeo)
    Clarkson-Norwood
    Cs-Japeth-Edu
    Blatchy-Fajardo

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
    1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

We can't afford to have another out-of-shape Blatche. We need the Blatche who played tonight.

And the reluctance of a pro team to sign him up until tianjin save the day. Thats why having nlex or tnt to sign him is vital so that his income will be secured at least for the year and he will be motivated to stay in shape.

Hopefully they push through with his Commissioner’s Cup stint:

And with BRP Jr playing for Blackwater by then Parks can play 3 or 2 and fill in at 1 if needed. Gabe needs a backup.

As the hosts we can decide to use Olympic Charter rules for eligibility so we can field all our FIBA ineligibles. But be aware that means that Thailand can also field Lish, Morgan and Lamb together.

Thailand could definitely give our cadets some trouble and keep things close until the last few minutes of the game. But it would be the perfect tournament for some of our college guys + PBA reinforcements.

Remy gotta get him in there to let him experience the Pinoy brand of fans, play and overall Pinoy camaraderie on and off the court. But it will be school time in the US and NCAA is strict about letting player athletes in the middle of semester where they're trying to maintain a certain GPA to play for their schools.

Sbp should really work on getting Clarkson classified as a local for wc2019. Clarkson and Blatche will create humongous problems for the opposition.

So, now the the PHL NT secured the last and final slot in FIBA Asia.. and FIBA Asia is traditionally the weakest among the FIBA Continents, does this mean that PHL is the lowest seeded team going into the 2019 World Cup, ranked 32 out of 32 teams?

High probability we're going to get USA in our group.
