Gotta update Romania. Ploiesti is still the same ugly town, but Romania, especially Transylvania, is actually surprisingly beautiful. Both nature and history-wise. Old Hungarian and German towns of Sighisoara, Sibiu, and Brasov with their preserved medieval parts are truly impressive. Bucharest, Cluj and Timisoara are also nice towns, especially the first two. Arad, Costanta, and Oradea were kind of disappointing. As for nature, you gotta visit Sinaia and Zarnesti mountains, and pass through Transfararasan ("the most beautiful road in the world").

Slovenia: Hey, JPF, you've got a beautiful green little country, my friend. Recently spent 4 days in Ljubljana, Maribor and surrounding parts (Lake Bled & Bohinj, Postojna cave, Predjama castle, Skofia Loka, etc). Everything was nice and relaxed, except for parking; a country where free parking is impossible!

                Hehe, yes, definitely.
It was quite busy actually, and we started the days at 7:00am, not to be punished for parking !
My gf is Hungarian from Serbia, and she loved Ljubljana... it's a cool town. what is the story with those shoes hanging over the street with umbrealla lamps (Trubarjeva cesta?)?

Hehe good parking strategy Honestly I have no idea what those shoes are all about and you're not the first one to ask, google says it was some sort of a protest against former primer minister, but I fail to understand it.

                    • Hey there! I'm new to this forum, but I saw your post about traveling and wanted to chime in. I've been lucky enough to visit many European countries, and I have to say that I love the culture and cultural heritage that each one has to offer. From the stunning architecture in Paris to the beautiful canals in Venice, I've experienced so many amazing things. Recently, I stumbled upon some great deals on business class flights and have been itching to plan my next adventure. Latin America sounds incredible, and I'm excited to discover new places and cultures. Do you have any recommendations for must-see destinations in that region?

                      • I've had the opportunity to explore quite a few places! From the vibrant streets of Istanbul to the bustling markets of Bangkok, my travels have been diverse. However, one unique experience was visiting Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, where I learned about the fascinating intersection of tradition and modernity. Also, if you're into erp software in saudi Arabia has some interesting developments in that field
