In fact handball is one of the top4 biggest team sports in europ. Football-Basketball-Icehockey-Handball.

Handball is bigger in europ than vollyball as exampel. Popular in Scandinavia, former yugoslavia, Germany, France and Spain or at least it used to be decent interess in Spain. Good interest in nations like Hungary and Romania too. Grows in Poland.

Should be an entertaining tournament, although I wish Bosnia would've qualified from our very easy group... Anyways, I believe the top two from each group advance to the next round. At least that kind of qualification syste makes it so that there are only 16 teams, a pretty reasonable number for the quality of hanball teams in Europe. If the top two do advance from the groups, here are my predictions (first place is on top):
