The draw is one December 2, and it'll be interesting what group will be the "Group of Death". Although it seems no matter what combination of teams go in a group, it'll be fairly even.

      So the draw is set:

      "A"

      Poland
      Greece
      Russia
      Czech Republic

      "B"

      Netherlands
      Denmark
      Germany
      Portugal

      "C"

      Spain
      Italy
      Rep. of Ireland
      Croatia

      "D"

      Ukraine
      Sweden
      France
      England

Holly crap. Group A is a complete joke. None of the teams from it deserves to be in quartefinals, but we'll have 2 of them there. So basically I'm quite sure that 2 semi-finalists will be from group B, which will face group A in 1/4.
C one is the "clearest" one. Spain will be 1st, Italy should come 2nd, Squadra Azzuri tends to choke time from time even in groups stage, but maybe not this time. While B and D will be the joy to watch, great pairing, great match-ups and promises some awesome attacking football, especially in group B where IMO 2 of 3 biggest contenders (Germans and Dutch) will play.

As for predictions: now I'd say

      A: 1. Russia, 2. Czech Rep., 3. Greece, 4. Poland

      B: 1. Germany, 2. Netherlands, 3. Portugal, 4. Denmark

      C: 1. Spain, 2. Italy, 3. Croatia, 4. Rep. of Ireland

      D: 1. England, 2. Sweden, 3. Ukraine, 4. France

      1/4

      Russia - Netherlands

      Spain - Sweden

      Germany - Czech Rep.

      England - Italy

      1/2

      Netherlands - Spain

      Germany - Italy

      Final

      Spain - Germany 50/50

Netherlands manager Bert van Marwijk is having a dilemma. He is choosing between Robin van Persie or Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. As a gooner, RVP is my choice.

Goalkeepers: Maarten Stekelenburg (Roma), Tim Krul (Newcastle United), Michel Vorm (Swansea City), Erwin Mulder (Feyenoord), Jasper Cillissen (Ajax)

Defenders: Vurnon Anita (Ajax), Khalid Boulahrouz (Stuttgart), Wilfred Bouma (PSV Eindhoven), Urby Emanuelson (AC Milan), John Heitinga (Everton), Hedwiges Maduro (Valencia), Joris Mathijsen (Malaga), Erik Pieters (PSV Eindhoven), Nick Viergever (AZ Alkmaar), Ron Vlaar (Feyenoord), Stefan de Vrij (Feyenoord), Gregory van der Wiel (Ajax), Jetro Willems (PSV Eindhoven)

Midfielders: Ibrahim Afellay (Barcelona), Mark van Bommel (AC Milan), Nigel de Jong (Manchester City), Adam Maher (AZ Alkmaar), Stijn Schaars (Sporting Lisbon), Wesley Sneijder (Inter Milan), Kevin Strootman (PSV Eindhoven), Rafael van der Vaart (Tottenham Hotspur), Georginio Wijnaldum (PSV Eindhoven)

Forwards: Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke), Ola John (Twente), Luuk de Jong (Twente), Siem de Jong (Ajax), Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool), Jeremain Lens (PSV Eindhoven), Luciano Narsingh (Heerenveen), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

You don't have to be Gooner to say that RvP should be the choice Jan "no Class" Huntelaar was one of the most overrated players in recent years due his good scoring record in Eredivisie, but if anyone would count his missed chances... Sure he is having a good season, but RvP also plays decent + Bundesliga is so much easier to score than in Premiership, so RvP all the way

Btw, they could do well bein' both in starting 11. RvP can easily play as AM due his versatility

My pick for England's initial squad:

              Goalkeepers

Joe Hart, Ben Foster, John Ruddy

              Defenders

Glen Johnson, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines, Micah Richards, Kyle Walker, Joleon Lescott

              Midfielders

Scott Parker, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Gareth Barry, Ashley Young, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, Theo Walcott

              Forwards

Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Daniel Sturridge, Andy Carroll

I did not include Rio-Ferdinand due to personal spite.

                England - Italy

                1/2

                Netherlands - Spain

                Germany - Italy

                Final

                Spain - Germany 50/50

So tommorow it all begins and my predictions would be little bit different what comes to groups standings. I would put Poland to 2nd place behind Russia and would switch France with England. England looks kinda horrible and messy + no Rooney for first 2 games, while France under Blanc looks really good. I'd bet that France will make it not only to 1/4, but can beat Italy (or Croatia) and go to semis

I think we can win. Germany and Netherlands also principal candidates. But I see Russia as the underdog.

you should read my post from what ever reson in univers they just can't beat us. not even in era when rapaic was our best player. we had luck and refs mistakes on our side

and also last night we had tons of luck in first half.

but with this game we don't have slight chance against supertalented spanish team
