The words (In the video, 2:55-5:00, interview is in English) said by Zurab Marshania, Georgian diplomatist in Estonia, were quite creepy. According to him, Russia wants to reconstruct the Soviet Union.
Tonight I talked to a client, who was working in the diplomatic area and was going to the war tomorrow. He gave us a good insight on the background of this tragedy. The general consesus,he said and his personal opinion, is that all this will lead to nothing and the situation will return as it was before the war.But how many innocent will die in the meanwhile...:/

It won't be the same after all. It's either the fall of Saakashivilli government, and the whole Georgian democracy, or complete removal of Russian "peacekeepers" from South Ossetia and maybe Abkhazia. They can't stay there after all those offensive military actions...
Why would Russia give reassurances that they don't have balls?
no,not from Russia. From let's say another super-power who believes that knows it all,and wants to control world politics, sees its as it's duty to free suppressed ethnicities and to supress free nations.

That was at least the opinion of that particular insider, and judging from what I saw, probably also a man of the military.Do you really believe it will go as far,as the fall of the georgian democracy?Surely the west will have intervened by then.
I keep following this through the newsfeed and my heart and hope is with the people of Ossetia whether they are Georgian or Russian or whatever..
Kakiasvilli has given all his Olympic medals as an offer, and a plea to world peace and particularly to peace in this region. His father house was destroyed.Really touching move, but who listens nowadays??...
I still don't understand why would Georgia take US opinion about possible Putin's actions for the fact?
