Phew so many to chose from, ofcourse there are those already mentioned like Transformers and He-Man...Damn i used to love those and i bet if i saw them today i would still watch them hehe.

But this has got to go to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but ofcourse they were also in the 90s so they may be don't count.

But damn there were soo many great toons back then.:D

I nostaligad hard lol.

Smurfs, Snorks

I was having this discussion with a friend of mine about which was the best animated series of the 80s. I know there is tons of them but i included in the poll my 3 favorites (robotech, captain harlock and sagma) and another 11 which were selected in terms of the success they had.

1st, where are the Simpsons?

2nd, where the hell is Kabamaru?

Well I don't know about Kabamaru, but the Simpsons didn't start (as their own show anyway) till 1989 and didn't hit their stride till the 90s, so it's not considered an 80s show.

It seems u guys weren't watching the same cartoons as me during the 80's since no one has mentioned them. The following cartoons were "the sh*t" for me to watch as a kid :D (I used to watch them all in arabic but I posted the Japanese version for u guys since all these cartoons are originally Japanese)

1) Grendizer

2) Astroganga (In arabic he was called Jongar)

3) Ai Zenborg (In arabic he was called "Al Rajol Al Haddidi" or translated into English "Iron Man")

Here are also some other cartoons that I used to watch in English as a kid:

4) Bionic Six

i'm only familiar with bionic six and captain planet. although captain planet was an american toon, the images were drawn frame by frame in the now defunct philippine company named Phil Cartoons. another famous american toon partly made in the philippines was X-Men the animated series. I know this stuff because a childhood friend's brother was an artist at Phil Cartoons and he would show us his X-men sketches.

You ignorant pricks are all dead wrong. It's "SABER RIDER & THE STAR SHERIFFS". Hands down.

Saber Rider and the Star Sherriefs - Rip off of the anime Sei Jushi Bismark
Robotech - Rip off of the anime Macross, Mospeada and Southern Cross
Voltron - Rip off of the Anime Golion And Dairugger XV

also Where is TMNT on the list? they were made in 1984/

With respect to Duck Tales and He Man, I have another favourite.
If you didn't watch this one, you might have missed out a lot...
