Sr Fw Chiney Ogwumike is probably the top all-round collegiate player this season.
She amassed yesterday 31 pts, 13 reb, 6 ast, 3 stls and 2 blocks in Stanford 89-67 win over Oregon State and is averaging nearly 27 ppg and 12 rpg.

Career-high for Baylor's Odyssey Sims (78-62 over West Virginia) with 48 pts and 6 threes (a school record), besides 10 reb and 7 ast.
Internationally, Sims played for the 2013 Universiade champ team and was named MVP.

Another career-high was set yesterday by Aaryn Ellenberg with 37, in an OT losing effort of Oklahoma vs Texas.
Ellenberg too played on the 2013 WUG team.

Born in England, of Nigerian descent, transplanted in the US and finally landed at Duke, this is the story of junior center Elizabeth Williams.
She won the gold with USA Basketball in 2009 (1st Fiba Americas U16, MVP), 2010 (1st World Ch'ship U17, All Tournament) and 2011 (U19 World's).

UConn soph fw Morgan Tuck will miss the rest of the season to undergo surgery on her right knee.
She just played eight games this season due to recurrent knee pain/swelling that an arthroscopic surgery performed last November didn't stabilize.
One of the best 2012 HS prospects, Tuck tore her left knee ACL the last day of the 2009 U16 Fiba Americas USA Basketball trials, after being named to the final team (she was eventually replaced by Bashaara Graves, University of Tennessee).

#1 UConn beat today South Florida (81-53) with just 6 healthy players.
With a scholarship players roster reduced to 8 (after the loss of Morgan Tuck), the Huskies played today without the services of Brianna Banks (sprained ankle) and of freshman guard Saniya Chong (sick).

Back to the court after missing the last game for a sprained ankle, soph guard Jewell Loyd scored yesterday a career-high 31 pts (besides 7 reb and 6 ast) to lead undefeated #2 Notre Dame over #8 Maryland 87-83. All-Am candidate Alyssa Thomas was (again) high for the Terrapins with 29.

Yet another double-double for college PoY prospect Chiney Ogwumike, who led #4 Stanford with 30 pts and 12 reb in a rout of USC 86-59. That was her 10th 30-pt effort this season.

Super soph Breanna Stewart dropped a career-high 37 pts (15/19 FG) in 30' action of UConn's easy win at Temple 93-56.
Sr Bria Hartley scored 16 pts and dished out 11 assists (a career high). That was her first double-double as well.

Rutger's guard Tyler Scaife, one of the top freshmen, scored yesterday 25 pts (10/16 FG) but it wasn't enough against #5 Louisville (80-71), again led by All-Am candidate Shoni Schimmel.

Freshman center Alaina Coates scored yesterday 24 pts (8/10 FG) and grabbed 12 reb (her 7th double-double) in #7 South Carolina win over Ole Miss 99-70.
Together with Nigerian Elem Ibiam, both listed at 6-4 / 1.93 m, the Gamecocks have built up one of the strongest frontcourts in their conference.
Coates was ranked #4 center when entering the collegiate career, preceeded by Kai James (Florida State), Kendall Cooper (Duke) and Merceds Russell (Tennessee) but has performed at#1 level on her age/role so far.

Super-game of Freshman Lexie Brown, leading Maryland over Syracuse with 31 pts (11/13 FG shooting, 7/8 threes !) and 7 ast, her career-high indeed.
Terrapin Sr Alyssa Thomas barely scored in double-digits (11 pts) but she also recorded 11 reb and 10 ast.
