Some international players in the spotlight.
Aussie Tiana Mangakahia, a soph guard at Syracuse, currently leads Div.I in assists (10.1 p.g.). She also leads her team in scoring.
Italian Fw Elisa Penna scored yesterday a career-high 34 points (including 9 threes) for Wake Forest in a losing effort vs NC State. Penna is currently leading WF in scoring and should deserve a call from Italian NT. Wolfpack players were led by Canadian soph Aislinn Konig with 20 pts (and 6/11 from the distance). Konig played for the junior NT that finished 3rd at the U19 WC last year.
Another Italian prospect, soph guard Francesca Pan is the current scoring leader at Georgia Tech, while sr center Marie Gulich from Germany leads Oregon State in scoring and rebounding.

The rebounding department is led by ex UConn Natalie Butler (now a graduate student at George Mason U.) with 16.4 rpg.

Some interesting European prospects here.

Another Oregon sophomore, Germany's Satou Sabally led the tournament in scoring, rebounding and overall efficiency (24.6) and was chosen to the All-Star Five. Ivana Raca of 2nd place Serbia and another All-Five, plays at Wake Forest.
Finally, Florida State's Savannah Wilkinson was named to the Div. B All-Five leading an otherwise deceptive Great Britain to the 10th place.
