Current rankings somewhat surprising. Villanova Wildcats are the top choice for the fourth straight week, while UCLA ranks #2, followed by Baylor. All these teams are still unbeaten.

A last-sec three by Dillon Brooks gave Oregon an unexpected win over #2 UCLA, 89-87.
Despite a late surge from UCLA, with Lonzo Ball scoring 14 points and dishing out six assists, Dillon Brooks sinks the game winner as part of a 23-point night in the Ducks' 89-87 upset of the Bruins.
In another (near) upset #1 Villanova survived a scare edging DePaul 68-65.

Saint Joseph's lost its leading scorer Shavar Newkirk after he torn his left knee ACL. A junior guard, Newkirk earned silver with the US selection at the 2014 Albert Schweitzer Tournament.
Saint Joseph's had already lost for injury soph fw Pierfrancesco Oliva from Italy.

Several upsets suffered by high-ranked teams in yesterday's games.
#1 Villanova lost to #18 Butler, and was held to a season-low 58 points. Nova will likely be replaced at top spot by unbeaten Baylor;
#9 Louisville lost to #23 Notre Dame, 77-70;
#11 Virginia was upset by unranked Pittsburgh at OT;
#21 Virginia Tech was clearly beaten by unranked North Carolina State 104-78 (55-30 at HT).

Baylor's #1 spot might be short lived, after Bears badly lost at West Virginia. Current #2 Kansas could be a candidate for next top spot. Among Top-25, Gonzaga only is stil unbeaten,
Aussie big man Harry Froling, who left Southern Methodist after 10 games this season, is heading to Marquette. He will be eligible to play after the first semester next season.

Three of top-five ranked teams played and fell in yesterday major upsets. #1 Villanova lost to unranked Marquette after leading by as many as 17 points, #2 Kansas lost to West Virginia 85-69 and #4 Kentucky was upset by unranked Tennessee. Interesting to see how all this will affect the top positions, with #3 Gonzaga candidate to climb to the top.
