2013 Class Center Nerlens Noel (ESPN & MaxPreps #2 recruit) has decided to reclassify rejoining the 2012 Class and play collegiate ball next fall.
The Class of 2012 received a significant boost Wednesday when Nerlens Noel (Everett, Mass./Tilton), the No. 2 overall recruit in the Class of 2013, told ESPN.com that he will rejoin his original classification and graduate this spring.
MaxPreps News - Nation's top big man fast-tracking college career, could wind up as top senior prospect.
He will join another "undecided", Shabazz Muhammad, at the top of the 2012 Class.Last edited by carlo; 02-02-2012, 05:22 PM.

JB Classic will be played on April 14th:
Teams are filled with the top 2012 players, though some bigs are missing (Steven Adams, Dajuan Coleman, Mitch McGary, Cameron Ridley ... probably too much competition).

UConn signee Omar Calhoun named MVP in the East-West game at the 2nd All-American Championship played in New Orleans.
Calhoun scored a tournament high 26 points for the East team winning 84-72. Cameron Ridley (Texas) was the West's MVP.
In another game, South won a very tight match over North 86-85, behind Ricardo Gathers (Baylor) and Evan Nolte (Virginia) 16 pts, but it was Joel James (UNC) getting the MVP honor. Glenn Robinson (Michigan) led North got scoring honors (16 pts) and MVP award.
All-American Championship features both senior and junior players.

I heard that the Kentucky Wildcats are also pursuing Anthony Bennett (Findlay Prep L.V.) and Amile Jefferson (Wynnewood, PA). Nerlens Noel will fill in the void that will be left by Anthony Davis Jr.Sacramento Kings

Also, on a related note to this thread- after watching a number of games, highlights, McDonald's game, Hoop Summit, I think that the recruiting sites have a number of guys misranked on their lists this year. I agree with the sites that Noel and Muhammed are the top two guys (with Muhammed being the better player right now IMO and Noel the better long term prospect) but after that most sites have the big men ranked high and I think guys like Ashley, Austin, Tarczewski, Jerrett (most or all considered top 10 guys) are overrated. Also, I think some of the PG and wing prospects are underrated such as Yogi Ferrell, Alex Poythress, Archie Goodwin, Sam Dekkar, Glenn Robinson, Kris Dunn and Marcus Paige. I see those guys being more impactful in the next year or two in college more than the big men.
