Less than an NCAA Championship is a failure to Harrison Barnes and the Tarheels. For now, Barnes and his teammates are faced with the decision of declaring for the NBA Draft or staying in campus.

    This image says it all.

Harrison Barnes and his Tarheels are among the favorites to win the national championship. After March Madness, it is expected that Barnes will declare for the 2012 NBA Draft.

In the 2012 NBA Draft, I fancy Barnes being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers or Charlotte Bobcats.

For the Cavaliers, Barnes will be paired with star Kyrie Irving and that will ramp the Cavs into an Oklahoma City Thunder like potential in the eastern conference. For the struggling Charlotte Bobcats, Barnes would be a hot commodity if drafted. This is similar to the 2004 NBA draft where the Bobcats selected UNC Tarheels standouts Raymond Felton and Sean May.

Barnes will be generating more local support that translates to ticket sales.

No worries, NorCal wrote that message last season. Back then, Barnes had the rookie jitters in adjusting to the level of play in the NCAA. Barnes has progressed as expected into the college level and after this season, Barnes will be looking to take his game into the professional level of play.
