hmm.. I think if Durant shall improve his defense a little bit,... he can be lined up with lebron james and kobe bryant,.. more physicality and hardiness for this guy and he'll be more amazing,......

Chicago has been the dissapoinment, a large majority of posters had took it for granted to see the Bulls in the playoff run. I doubt they will ultimately make it.

After last year's run i was doubting their chances because of their lack of depth last season--- but with the new guys in town--- i do believe that the Magic has finally the chance to take it all the way. It would be very difficult yes, but i do think they can both one of Cleveland or Boston in a best-of-seven (again)...
Good point Durden.. I am also trying to assess the impact of having Vinsanity play with Orlando. It will be a gargantuan task for Jameer Nelson to set their offensive plays. Lewis and Vinsanity are both one-on-one players and will have to understand each others commitment on who will be the main go-to-guy.

I think the Washington Wizards will be the darkhouse in the East if Gilbert Arenas will stay healthy the rest of the season. It will be Flip Saunders biggest challenge to lead Arenas and the Wizards way past the second-round of playoffs in the East.

    Western Conference
    1 - LA Lakers
    2 - San Antonio
    3 - Denver
    4 - Portland
    5 - New Orleans
    6 - Dallas
    7 - LA Clippers
    8 - Phoenix/Oklahoma City

Golden State Warriors will play the spoilers role in the West with a cinch to steal the last seed from the Suns or Thunder depending on the performance of Stephen Jackson and the young guns of the Warriors. Expect Don Nelson to wave some magic to turn this young team into a playoff contender.

Prediction for the NBA Finals: BOSTON CELTICS over LA LAKERS (4-2)

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will have their hands full against the quartet of Garnett, Pierce, Allen, and Sheed Wallace on both ends of the court. The backcourt will be the deciding factor for these two teams with the Lakers will only have the dependable, aging warrior Derek Fisher against rising star Rajon Rondo and Marquis Daniels. Rasheed Wallace will take out the game of Paul Gasol as he will drain all those three point shots dagger in the heart of the Lakers.

Let us see how the 2009-2010 NBA season will be played starting October 2009.

Artest is a well known burden for pierce but laker's bigs are too soft for sheed, perk, big baby and KG. Ubuntu defense will take care of kobe once more.
I agree with you raichu08 that Boston's big guys will dominate the paint with Sheed, Perk, Big Baby and even Williams. Also, Gasol has an injury in one of his fingers sustained during the FIBA European League. It will be another heyday for The Big Ticket to dominate both ends of the court..

Great call on OKC though i think at best they are going to battle for the last spot. Phoenix was my sentimental choice but i could easily see the Thunder making it.

On the East, i think Miami is the darkhorse considering they have DWade--- i just thought that other teams have the better line-up for the 82-game grind so i put them just outside the bubble.
