David Robinson has just been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Is he the Greatest Player in the Spurs franchise history?

If you were an executive who would you choose: Duncan or Robinson?

Damn that's a hard one, Robinson always seemed more dominant down low while Duncan seemed to perhaps have the better all around game. I'll go Duncan but just barely.

Tim Duncan is pretty much David Robinson's heir... I voted for David Robinson because he is THE SPURS... but I think Duncan has the edge simply because he brought 4 championships to the franchise... though, the Admiral did play part in two of those, Duncan was the main man... but then again, as far as I'm concern, Robinson doesn't have the luxury of quality teammates as Duncan have...

It's Duncan for me.not to take away anything from the admiral, but when duncan came to the spurs, they become a title contender. duncan brings leadership, maturity and stability to the team until now.robinson in fairness accepted the role as a wingman to duncan and that shows how a great gentleman he really and he deserves to be inducted into the hall of fame.

Duncan, and it's not even close.
Apart from his 4 rings, Duncan has been a top3 player in the league for almost a decade. He's not only a great player individually but a true leader, excelling in almost every aspect of the game.

i agree. i'd pick Duncan too. But you have to feel for Robinson going up against the likes of Malone-Stockton, Olajuwon, Barkley and even Kemp-Payton in the tough Western Conference at his time (arguably, i do believe this was the best era in basketball)...

Duncan for sure. Robinson getting dominated by Olajuwon in a playoff series has a lot to do with my choice, i've never seen Duncan get schooled like that.

Robinson was also schooled by Sabonis at the 1986 WC.

This is a tough one. I chose Robinson by a slight edge. I saw him play in the 90s and was one of my favorite players.

Though he got dominated by Olajuwon, one could argue that Duncan had the better supporting cast for the most part of their careers. All Robinson had that you could call respectable was Sean Elliot and Avery Johnson.
