I hate the Lakers, never for a second doubt that.
But when the Lakers didn't slack off they dominated Houston. When pushed by Denver they answered, and while challenged by the Magic they were more clutch.
I don't like their odds of repeating simply because no one seems to repeat anymore. But there was nothing lucky at all about their title. As much as it pains me to admit that.Pistons: 2021-22 Let the Motorcade begin!!

Last year Boston won it and I'd like a different team to win the championship each year, so, LA Congratulations this year.
But next year, I want another team to win it. Besides, how many times do wee see a change of landscape every off- season. Who knows? Contenders are built through signings and acquisitions each off season.Comment

C'mon! Are you kidding me? It's not mere luck dude, they reached the NBA finals 2 consecutive seasons before winning the title. They were simply the best team during the '08-'09 season. If the lakers could keep the core of the team, their starting line-up plus quality role players off the bench, they could definitely win it again. Plus Coach Phil has the history of winning 3 consecutive NBA titles, hope he could pull it again..Kobe Bryant cannot do it again twice!
