  • Best NBA big men are from the Spouthern US

A very interesting article, probably true because they play a lot of American football there, but check it out.

a lot of guys i know who play football plays basketball better. same with guys who play soccer.

soccer guys have good footwork specially in the paint when playing basketball

football guys are good with making tight shots in the paint and with intercepting overhead passes, etc

in other words, playing multiple sports helps your game.

Anyone who wants to replace a coach because his dwarf team keeps losing against bigger teams is wishing for a miracle and should get a magician. A more practical solution is to get reinforcements unless one is content to wait a few more years in the hope that the dwarf players will grow wings and fly over their defenders. PBA reinforcements will not guarantee a championship, but it will guarantee close losses which is enough to make me happy.

Absolutely. I have already played football (soccer in US) and easily adapted to basketball and his fundamentals. Every sports require common skills and a guy who is fast, jumps well, has endurance and footwork has great chances to develop his level quickly.

I know that Steve Nash is a great soccer player so that explains alot .

Hakeem Olajuwon was a soccer goalkeeper before playing bball as well (back when he was a young teenager living in Nigeria)

I think Sportspolymath is talking 'bout Men's Football, not football soccer. Cuz we don't play soccer here in the South

Lebron is a great example of that

Re: big men is it fair to say Kobe needs a fairly dominant big man to win a ring, and thats why you can't him in the top 10 greatest?
