  • Bring Back the Mcdonalds Open Championship

The last team that won this competition was the San Antonio Spurs back in 1999, and I am just wondering if they are considering to bring back this tournament this season.

The Best Team from Europe vs. The Best Team in the NBA vs. The Best Team in Australia/Asia.

The Tournament combined rules of both the NBA and the Euro League, and It's a Single Round Robin Elimination.

    Memorable Game

Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls vs. OLYMPIAKOS ( 1997 Mcdonalds Open Championship )

I think this footage is somewhat rare. In October 1997, Bulls went to Paris to compete in McDonald's Open which featured some of the best clubs from all over...

Michael Jordan won the MVP Award after scoring 27 points in the Finals.

FIBA has created a FIBA World club championship that will start in 2010, as of yet the NBA hasn't signed on, but they are aware of it and wish to see how it goes. If we're lucky we'll see the NBA champs and Euroleague champs fight it out by 2011.

Bronze medal 2013 Eurobasket prediction Game.

I got to watch the last McDonald's Championship in 1999 live on t.v since our Lebanese team Sagesse participated in this event. It was a real joy to watch considering that the best teams from different continents were playing against each other.

The list of participants for 1999 were Sagesse (Lebanese+Asian Champions), San Antonio Spurs (NBA Champions), Vasco da Gama (South American Champions), Zalgiris Kaunas (Euroleague Champions) Adelaide 36ers (Australian Champions), and Varese Roosters (Host team from Italy and defending Italian Champions)
