Kobe's advantage over Lebron--->Kobe has won 5 championships.

LeBron's advantage over Kobe--->LeBron has better stats than Kobe and Lebron is a 2-time Regular Season MVP.

Every basketball forum has this topic trending. Even at ISH, we had like a 57 pages of discussion regarding the LeBron vs Kobe topic and could you believe the mods there closed the thread because it got out of hand. I don't see that happening here.

One thing though, both have their fair share of haters.

If you look at advanced statistics such as PER, win shares, offensive and defensive +/-, etc. as well as the general consensus of those who cover the NBA day in and day out it is Lebron, hands down.

Kobe is one of the top 10 players of all time IMO but he is now officially past his prime, you can see it if you watch enough of his games, he is settling for a lot of jumpers and has lost explosiveness which is expected for a player in his early 30s who has played in 1000+ games in his NBA career.

The thing Kobe has on Lebron, as many have mentioned, is his five rings. And he needs to be recognized for that but the supporting cast of each player and what they accomplished given the quality of talent they've had around them needs to be taken into account. Given that, when this debate comes up I always like to ask- if Kobe and Lebron switched teams last year what do you think would have happened? I say L.A. wins the championship handily and is dominant throughout the season (they were not consistently dominant last season) while Cleveland wins around 50 games.

I hate them both, but I must say.... Kobe has a ring...s

as for the supporting cast, its hard to say that guys like Pau or maybe even Jackson himself would fit well with Lebron, we've heard lots of things about his ego. and quite frankly your teammates wouldnt matter if you would prefer to play by your own style of play, even if it doesnt work.

According to the Q score company and broadcasted by ESPN on the Most Hated Sports Figures in America:

In fact, LeBron James is now the sixth most disliked sports personality, according to The Q Score Company, behind Michael Vick, Tiger Woods, Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco and Kobe Bryant
Miami Heat guard LeBron James has a lot of work to do on his reputation. That's at least according to the...

I think it's Lebron. Lebron is one of my idol in basketball. He is a good player with his strength, shooting skills and also passing and defense. he is better than Kobe for me.
