  • Another surgery for Arenas, out until at least December

Not a good start to his $111 million contract.

Man, that stinks for Arenas and the team (no way I believe they're better without him). The article said this is his third surgery on the knee since the middle of last season. I would feel sorry for him if he weren't making that kind of money.
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

What a bummer! Damn Arenas and the Wizards must be both feeling like crap right now.
I really hope that Gilbert doesn't end up like Grant Hill cuz that would be the most unfortunate thing ever.

Another Grant Hill in the making? Gilbert Arenas has been hobbled with injuries lately. Washington had so many wasted opportunities with Arenas on the sidelines. The Wizards are not that bad with Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler, how much more if Arenas wasn't sidelined.

The 'Zards will never win with the core of Arenas, Butler, Jamison. All good players in their own right but lets be honest they'll always be a team that loses in the first round of the playoffs.

Don't u think that the Wizards have been very unlucky with their injured players over the past few seasons and another reason why they're losing in the first round is cuz their opponents are usually the Cavs (always considered as one of the top teams in the East)?

              That's it.

              Im done with Arenas.

I used to collect jerseys, sneakers, magazines, cards and even McFarlane action figures of him.

But HE HAS NOT PLAYED BASKETBALL for almost a year and a half now.

I'm going to have to co-sign this statement. I just can't see them winning anything witht that nucleaus. I'm sure after this season, changes will be made.

Washington is always pitted against the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James owns them and at the same time, Gilbert Arenas was not 100% last season in the playoffs. Who knows, Washington might have won that series.

They may have won the series, but trust me, with the personel that they had or have right now, they would not have advanced any further. They really need to re-vamp that roster if they want any shot at a title.
