altough 6'8,, beasley's athlethicism will be a graet wepaon to play the 4 spot, his tenacity is off the charts,, but not that good in the pros,, he'll avg, 7-10 rebs per game during his rookie season, he's like carmelo,, with more inside game,, and less shooting range and accuracy,, he's very strong,, he's post moves are good,, foot work is fuid,, he plays bigger than his size.. rose is a franchise player,, but beasley,, is more fitted to the bulls,, cause of the lack of post scoring, maybe they should let go of hinrich,, trade for 2nd pick .. but the heat wont accept,, im stupid,, sorry yall,,,but beasley for me is the bulls pick,, in terms of needs

Partial Measurements and Combine Results Released
by: DraftExpress
June 3, 2008
We’ll be posting the entire spreadsheet shortly, but here are some of the most interesting results. Keep in mind that this is hardly the holy grail in regards to talent evaluation. But people definitely love to look, which is why we rushed out the first results.
Michael Beasley measured at 6-7 without shoes, and 6-8 ¼ with. His wingspan in 7-0 ¼ and his standing reach is 8-11. He did fairly well in the combine, lifting the 185 bar 19 times, jumping 35 inches on the max vert, but measuring a slightly high body fat at 7.7%
Derrick Rose came out a bit shorter than advertised, at just 6-1 ½ in shoes and 6-2 ½ in. He has a 6-8 wingspan, a 40 inch vertical and ran the 3/4 court sprint very fast at 3.05.
Brook Lopez is a legit 7-footer in shoes. He also has a phenomenal 7-5 ½ wingspan and an outrageous 9-5 standing reach. He did not do very well at all in the combine though, jumping just 30 inches in the max vert and coming dead last in the lane agility drill at 12.77.
Jerryd Bayless is a legit 6-3 in shoes, and he has expected has a very poor wingspan at 6-3 ½. He did well in the combine, though, jumping 38 inches, lifting the 185 bar 10 times, running 11.26 in the lane agility drills, and sprinting ¾ court in 3.07 seconds.
Kevin Love measured out reasonably well—6-9 ½ in shoes (6-7 ¾ without), with a 6-11 ¼ wingspan and an 8-10 standing reach. His body fat is still very high at 12.9%, but in the combine he jumped 35 inches, lifted the 185 bar 18 times, and ran very well (11.17, 3.22)
O.J. Mayo is 6-3 ¼ without shoes, 6-4 ½ with, with a 6-6 wingspan and 8-3 standing reach. He had the second best vertical leap at 41 inches and ran 11.04 and 3.14.
Eric Gordon is 6-3 ¼ in shoes, with a terrific 6-9 wingspan. He jumped 40 inches, lifted the bar 15 times, and ran 10.81 and 3.01. He plays like a great athlete, and tested out well too.
Anthony Randolph is 6-10 ¼ in shoes, with a freakish 7-3 wingspan and 9-1 standing reach. He is skinny as expected at 4.7% body fat, jumped 35 inches on the max vert, and ran just OK at 11.86 and 3.26.
DeAndre Jordan came in an inch short at 6-11, but has an outrageous 7-6 wingspan and 9-5 ½ standing reach that more than compensates. He jumped poorly at 30.5 inches, lifted the bar 8 times, and ran the drills in 12.3 and 3.27 seconds.
The biggest wingspan: John Riek at 7-8 ¾. His standing reach was N/A. Probably too long to believe. We’re told its 9-10, and certainly believe that.
Biggest standing reach: JaVale McGee- 9-6 ½.
Lightest Player: Mike Taylor- 166 pounds, followed by D.J. Augustin at 171.
Heaviest Player: Kentrell Gransberry- 290 pounds
Lowest Body Fat: Lester Hudson- 3.4%
Highest Body Fat: Kentrell Gransberry -17.4% body fat
Best no-step vertical: Patrick Ewing- 35 inches
Best Max-Step Vertical: O.J. Mayo- 42 inches (tied with Ewing)
Bench Press: Josh Duncan 26 reps
Fastest Lane Agility: Sonny Weems- 10.58 seconds
Fastest ¾ Court Sprint: Sonny Weems- 2.96, (Joe Alexander 2.99)
Others:
Joey Dorsey measured in at only 6’6.25 without shoes, and 6’7.25 with shoes, but had a +7.5 wingspan and managed a very respectable 19 reps off 185 on the bench.
DeVon Hardin stands 6’10.75 in shoes with a 7’3 wingspan, he had 20 reps on the bench and recorded a 32” max vertical leap.
Josh Duncan put up 26 reps of 185 on the bench, recorded a 32” max vertical leap, is 6’8 without shoes, and recorded a body far percentage of only 5.4%.
Patrick Ewing Jr. recorded the highest max vertical leap on the day recording 42”, but struggled on the bench, finishing with only 2 reps. His is 9.4% body fat was surprising for a player of his build as well. At only 6’6 without shoes, he’s between positions with his measurables and game very much in conflict.
Richard Hendrix tested out very well. He is a hair under 6-9 in shoes, has a 7-3 wingspan, a 9-0 standing reach, and ran a 10.62 and 3.27. He jumped just 28 inches in the max vert.

Michael Beasley and Kevin Love Official Draft Measurement
While the official numbers from last week's measurements and testing at the Orlando draft camp have yet to be released, Heat President Pat Riley said Monday that Beasley measured in at 6 feet 8 1/2 inches in shoes. However, Riley said Beasley's other measurements more than compensate.
"He's got a plus-five wingspan," Riley said, which would give Beasley the wingspan of a player 7-1 1/2. "He's got a 35-inch vertical. He goes 21 inches above the rim, jumping."
Riley said Beasley "tested extremely well in all the measurements," coming in at 238 pounds and 7 1/2-percent body fat. Heat trainer Bill Foran was among those who worked at the camp.
I think Beasley is going to be the 2nd overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, and i do not think his draft measurement will affect his ranking in the Draft because he is still one of the best Combo Forward in his draft class.
Kevin Love was said to measure 6-8 1/4 (without shoes), which considering his lack of great athleticism is not a great result.Last edited by Lebron23; 06-03-2008, 09:53 AM.

Chris Paul's stats in his draft year (Sophomore):
33.4mpg, 15.3ppg (shooting 45.1/47.4/83.4), 6.6apg, 4.5rpg
Deron William's stats in his draft year (Junior):
33.7mpg, 12.5ppg (shooting 43.3/36.4/67.7), 6.8apg, 3.6rpg
Derrick Rose's stats in his draft year (Freshmen):
29.2mpg, 14.9ppg (shooting 47.7/33.7/71.2), 4.7apg, 4.5rpg
And if we adjust to 33.7mpg:
33.7mpg, 17.2ppg (shooting 47.7/33.7/71.2), 5.4apg, 5.2rpg
He can improved his passing skills in the NBA, and in College he is already a better scorer and rebounder than Deron Williams ( Similar Size only Rose is a much superior athlete)
I wouldn't be suprised that less than 2 years from now that Rose is going to be a top 3 PG in the league, and He is ceiling is much higher compared to Deron Williams and CP3.
After watching him in the Final 4 Tournament i think Rose is destined to become one of the best PG in the next Decade.
Chris Paul College Per: 25
Derrick Rose College Per: 24 ( also lead his team to the NCAA Finals as a 19 yrs.old College Freshmen)
Deron Williams College Per: 20
Chris Paul and Deron Williams Freshmen Stats
Deron Williams
28.1 mpg 6.3 ppg, 4.5 apg, 3.0 rpg, 0.2 bpg, 1.4 spg
Chris Paul
33.6 mpg, 14.8 ppg, 5.9 apg, 3.3 rpg, 0.4 bpg, 2.7 spg

NBA Pre-Draft Camp, Day Four
Clearly the most impressive workout of any of the 15 players belonged to Derrick Rose. Not so much for what he showed, but mostly just for what he is. He got up and down the floor fluidly and smoothly, covering tons of ground with each and every stride, and looked excellent changing speeds and operating skillfully with both hands in the ball-handling drills. His athleticism is nothing short of stunning, starting with his phenomenal first step, his ability to change gears, and his incredible explosiveness finishing around the basket. He came out with a business-like approach, and left no doubt about just how unique his talent-level and physical tools are. A nice bonus was the way he shot the ball, hitting more than one NBA 3-pointer and looking solid from mid-range as well.

Gary Forbes - The Steal of the 2008 Draft-
I have been reading some draft reports and they said that Forbes is the most impressive player in the first 2 days of the NBA Pre Draft Camp. He also showed some glimpses that he is ready to play in the NBA because of his amazing footwork and body control
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 216 lbs
Wingspan: 6-10 3/4"
2007-08 NCAA Stats
19.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.0 apg, 72 % FT, 41.7 FG %
High School Career: Scored 1,512 points and grabbed 766 rebounds during his high school career ... Established career records for points, rebounds and blocked shots at Benjamin Banneker ... selected the Newsday Player of the Year in Brooklyn as a senior and was nominated for City Player of the Year ... earned first-team All-City and All-Tri-State honors ... McDonald's All-American finalist ... Averaged 31 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots a game as a senior.
SUMMER OF 2007: Played for Panamanian National Team in the FIBA Americas Championship held in Las Vegas ... Averaged 17.8 points per game in four contest for Panama, which went 1-3 ... Averaged 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists, shooting 55.6 from the floor ... Scored a game-high 29 points against Argentina (8/26) as he made 6-of-14 from the floor and 11-of-13 from the foul line ... In win over Mexico (8/24), scored nine points ... Netted team-high 19 points against Puerto Rico (8/23), also grabbed seven boards ... In opening game of tournament, tallied 14 points and had three rebounds in overtime loss to Uruguay (8/22) ... Prior to Championships, worked out with the team in Colon, Panama for eight-day training camp ... Also worked Nike and Adidas camps.
Day 2 Draft Reports.
On the other side of the ball, Gary Forbes was clearly the best player on the winning team. He looked extremely instinctive putting the ball on the floor and taking it to the rack, getting to the free throw line repeatedly and finishing impressively around the cup. He also made some excellent passes, showed nifty ball-handling skills, and generally left a very strong first impression. He’s not overly athletic, but he’s extremely smart and crafty, and he just continued to add on what was an excellent performance last month at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. We’ll be watching him in the drills tomorrow to see how he shoots the ball from the perimeter.
Day 2 Scouting Reports
For Team 2, the best player on the floor (and likely of the day) was clearly Gary Forbes, stringing together one of the best single-game performances (30 points, 7-16 FG, 15-16 FT, 26 minutes) we’ve seen in the last five years of the pre-draft camp. Forbes was incredibly aggressive putting the ball on the floor with either hand and making very strong moves to the basket, being very physical once there and in turn getting to the free throw line at will. His scoring instincts might be the best of any wing player at this camp, as he makes up for his lack of freakish athleticism with phenomenal footwork and body control, being able to quickly read and exploit angles, or move intelligently without the ball, in turn showing a very good basketball IQ that impressed many people here. Although his perimeter shot wasn’t a huge part of his game once again, he knocked down one of his two attempts from NBA range, which leaves optimism in that regard. He’s making a strong push for consideration in the early second round or possibly higher.
He seems like he is going to be a steal in the 2008 NBA Draft. He was never highly touted at the start of the Pre Draft Camp because of his lack of explosiveness and athleticism, but if you look back at his College Career it is proof that he can put up decent stats for his team.
Gary Forbes was projected as the 52nd pick in the NBA Mock Draft, and i am sure he is going to be a good addition for some veteran teams, who wants a young player that can be a decent scorer off the bench.

Trade
what if Chicago picks Beasley..
Then Miami Picks Derrick Rose then trade him along with Udonis Haslem to LAC for Elton Brand and the 7th pick (De Andre Jordan, DJ Augustin, or Eric Gordon)
