Do you agree with ESPN's "All Time Greatest 2 Guards" that Kobe is number 2?

Well, since I'm not a "Kobe Bryant fan" since I have been reading the book of Phil Jackson (The Last Season: 2003-04 horrendous Lakers season) it is hard for me to grasp that this 29 year old is better than the lean mean defensive machine and former NBA Finals MVP Joe Dumars or Clyde "The Glide" Drexler or even Jerry West.

What is even worse for me are these words on Kobe: "Bryant has at least a glimmer of hope of challenging Jordan for the top spot before it's all said and done." Even though I hate Jordan (because he would ALWAYS beat my Knicks) I so strongly believe that no 2 guard will ever accomplish what this guy has accomplished. NOBODY! Do you agree?

Highly talented individually, but of questionable character. That's what I would say. Flashy style of play and his ability to score 50, 60, 70 and 80 have surely overshadowed that he's always created problems on his teams. And winning a championship off the big fella is not exactly an outstanding accomplishment, I think.

I don't think those "all-time greatest"-lists are productive anyway, but not in my dreams would I put Kobe in the Top-10, had I to create one.

Ps: What exactly does Jackson say about Bryant in this particular book?

      In summary

      1. Highly obsessed in trying to ALWAYS control the game by himself.
      2. Someone who NEVER trusts his team mates.
      3. One player who has received the most concessions from team management in his coaching career.
      4. The only player who has the ability to make "Shaq" dominate like King Kong.
      5. Always obsessed in searching for more personal comfort.
      6. A very complicated character.
      7. An arrogant basketball player

I just watched him in the Rockets - Lakers game..
he ended with a 11/33 shooting and he didn't play any defense whatsoever..
he didn't even tried to play it..
I never liked Kobed and never probably will like him as a player..
I do respect him as a player but I don't like him so it's blasphemy to even think he could take of Jordan from his place..
        or even Dumars..
he is a new age kid, marketing did a lot for him..
the same it is doing for James, Wade etc.
they are selling products, Jordan was playing bball..
and he did it with style..
for me the real NBA died with his retirement..
ofcourse there are players or even teams who are not a part of the new age NBA..
        and never will be..
but they are not getting as much space as the new kids..
it's like what Kukoc said, the level of basketball dropped significantly and some of these "stars" could never make it in the 90's or earlier..

We can't know... Anyway, more teams, so more dispatched talent.

For trust his teammates, I just think he always believe he is the best to take the shoot. He just overtrust himself, not that he doesn't trust his teammates...
            It's a bird? It's a plane? No, it's Rudy!
