Yao got 0pt and 10 turnovers on his first NBA game as rookie. If should be the worst nba game statistics of all no. 1 pick player in NBA history. No other no. 1 pick rookie to scored less than 2pts and more TO in a game. Only Yao when as a rookie scored scoreless with 2rebs and 10 TOs.

This is not a thread about the worse debut of a No1 draftee. You cannot say that Yao is a dissappointment judging on his first game (or even handful of games). He has been posting superb numbers since his first year and until now.

Ahhh so that's why joel put Yao on the bust list, basing it on their debut game... IMO, it should be based on how successful is the player's career... heck, it should even be the other way around with Yao having the most success so far... but, hey these guys are still young (except for the hopeless Kandi Man) and can still prove their worth being a 1st overall pick...

Kandi Man and its not even close. Bogut is a solid NBA center, Kwame is top10 post defender and Bargs is young(I dont like how he plays in his second season btw.)

Concerning Bogut, though I am an Australian-Filipino and I love watching this guy play, I am expecting bigger numbers and bigger wins this seasons for the Bucks. Hence, if that does not occur I am having my doubts about my fellow countryman. Basically, I want to see definitely 15ppg 10rpg & 2bpg and the Bucks racking up at least a 45 win season.

Yes, I would like to see Bogut playing a little better too. Well, he's averaging 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks right now, so he's not far off (and 50% shooting).

Whether or not Bogut becomes a bust you have to agree with the Bucks management that Bogut by far was the choice they HAD to make.

No question. In fact, Chris Paul and Deron Williams (two players picked after Bogut), are very good players for their teams, but Milwaukee at the time, as you said, still doesn't need a guard, so I would make that pick again. Bogut is a big, young kid. He's only 23 and he's gotten better every year, so I think he was a good pick.

Milwaukee plays Cleveland tonight, so I'm happy that I get to watch the game! I'll give a report on him in the Bogut thread after I see it.

However, looking from the perspective of the Bucks organisation. The advantages of obtaining the former University of Michigan star was a safer bet because you have seen the big man develop slowly throughout his years in Michigan and on top of that you know that this Big Man has been used to playing in a stlye of play that is easier for him to adjust to the NBA than from a unknown kid who has been playing overseas and may find the adjustment to the NBA quite difficult. Do you go for the kid full of potential or do you go for the safe choice? Of course it is easier to comment now but then many manager would rather take the safer pick than the gamble.

Very-very too non-sense for sinoball, Bargnani is now 22, still not good performance. Bogut too.. Kwame Brown is not bust but still in more minutes, but I've include him. Bogut is 23 still not helpful winning their team. How about Yao, his first game in NBA had scoreless in his game. The worst no. 1 pick in a game in history. But I'm was very suprised have NBA star average statistics that's why he is big and the defender didn't high pressure on him. That's big questionable! I've understand that coach always urged Yao's playing time!

as for yao, i dont think that he should be included in that list. yes, he may had a very bad debut for a #1pick. but considering his averages right now and the things he bring to the game to help his team win shouldnt be overlooked.
