Andrew Bynum has improve tremendously in the regular season, and the kid has been one of the most promising Center in the first 15 games of the season but still he have some fundamentals that need to develop in his arsenal.

The things that i want to see him improve is his mobility to develop a strong lowposts game in the mold of a Prime Shaquille O'Neal, and Hakeem Olajuwon, he is still raw when it comes to drawing some fouls from the other players, but he is a legit 7 footer, and in the 2nd if he keeps on working harder, he is destine to be the next Best Center of this team,

I'm pretty sure that Bynum will someday average a double-double , but don't you guys think he should be traded (for a star) if the situation arises?

I mean, you have a disgruntled star and a coach that hasn't shown much confidence in him. If you are looking to win now, you should trade him for a star that would help now, if you don't want because of his potential, then you should trade Kobe. It's clear you are centered in the future of the team, not the present and it would be best for all to look in that direction before he leaves for nothing.

I'm a Lakers fan and I completely agree with the Kidd an the JO-Odom+Bynum decisions, but if the time comes when you can have a star for Bynum, management should do it. Besides, if they mantain the staus quo, the pressure for the kid to produce inmediately will be tremendous.

I don't share some of you guy's enthusiasm. Bynum hasn't shown consistency at all and just to point something out, Kwame Brown is starting ahead of him! You know the coach ain't betting high on this player if he lets some 'no-name' player start ahead of him on a constant basis (no disrespect ot Kwame Brown of course because he is in the NBA after all)

Oh, and it's probably way too early in his career to be able to make applausible predictions of how he'll do in his prime but just for fun I'm guessing something like 20ppg, 10rpg and 2bpg

Bynum was measured 7'0.25" barefoot at 17 years old so why is it a suprise he's now 7'1"? He also weighed 310 pounds when he was drafted. Bynum is going to be a star. He is already a pretty good rebounder and an excellent shot blocker. I honestly predict in his prime he could average

27 ppg, 12 rpg, 3 apg and 3 bpg.

Everyone has to remember he is just 3 months older than Greg Oden and already has 2 years of NBA experience. He could average a double double next year and will probably block over 2 shots per game.

In the NBA it's all a matter of role distribution.If Bynum is given a larger role his stats will rise.The important part is whether he will help his team more.From the few times I saw Bynum and the Lakers last season I think he is a talented, but a bit raw and inconsistent player.He is too young and has the future ahead, but needs 2 work hard 2 improve and get 2 another level.I also believe that it's good 4 him that he plays 4 the Lakers, a team with great tradition in centers.This might help him get a more important role in the team.4 me the first step is 2 find some consistency.

Unfortunately, I don't share your enthusiasm of Bynum.
If (and that's a big if) he'll improve his work ethics and constantly work on his game, he might become a good Center in 2-3 years. He'll never be part of the league's elite, since he lacks fundamentals and does not have the mentality to become one of the elite.

In general, Centers are more of late bloomers which is why I predict a breakthrough season to take place the following season rather than this one.

My prediction is slight improvements to 10 pts + 7.5 reb + 1.5 as + 1.8 blocks.

Andrew Bynum certainly would have a better season next year i can guarantee. He has surprised many with how quickly his skills have developed in the later part of the 2006-07 NBA Season. I hope Phil Jackson can give him enough playing time cause Kwame Brown is in the injured lists and show his ability to become one of the best center in the NBA. If he will improve next year whether he is playing for the LA LAKERS or got traded in the middle of the season. I just wish that Andrew Bynum would have a break out performance next year.

If he will have the work ethic of a Kareem Abdul Jabbar and further improve his offensive game. Bynum certainly would have a brigh future ahead of him in many more years to come. I do not think he was a busts because he came into the league at 17 yrs.old and 6 months when the LAKERS drafted him in June 2005. If he can mastered the Skyhook of Kareem Abdul Jabbar and concentrate on his defense in less than 2 years, He will definitely surpass his expectation.

He is also pretty agile for his size and the prototypical NBA Center might be returning because NBA needs them. Beside Bynum is a physical specimen if he can use his body to bang some smaller opponent in the low posts like shaq during his prime. He will definitely earn some And 1 plays and visit the Free Throw Line more often.

I predict Bynum will average 15-16 PPG, Grab 9-10 rebounds and average 2.0 BPG.
